Feel the freedom of the north-western corner of Namibia, one of Africa’s last wildernesses, a refuge for black rhino and lion, and home to the famous desert elephant that follow the ephemeral rivers spanning the land like arteries of life. The hustle and bustle of daily living dissipates here as you entertain a slower rhythm of life.

We enjoyed our stay here, especially the excursions. We were fortunate to see a black rhino and track him at least part of the way on foot as well as spit out first elephant up close. We visited both the Torra Conservancy as well as the Palmwag one. Each unique, each beautiful.. I loved especially the resident cats of the lodge. There are 2 pools, one with a bar. We decided to camp out in the conservancy one night. We got to cook our food over a fire and sit by it afterwards before going to sleep under a full moon. Our 2 guides were so much fun. We laughed all night with them and listened to their experiences. We were lucky to see their resident elephant Jimbo on the way back from camp.

Palwag is part of the amazing lodges and campsites of Gondwana collection. The service, from the booking and the staff at the lodge was 100% Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The campsites was very clean. There was always hot water at the ablution. You can also watch the elephants from the pool area. Maybe one suggestion, more shade at some of the campsites.

This time we selected camping-to-go. Behind this phrase is accommodation in a spacious luxury tent, with integrated bathroom and all utensils available you normally have to carry with you when going camping. A braai on the terrace is a must! Restaurant and pool-bar are prepared to serve you delicious food and you feel warmly welcomed at the lodge. Nature around the place is stunning: Giraffes and elephants roam around and the lodge itself is a perfect place to watch birds of all kind. Don't forget to bring your braai meat when going camping and enjoy the sunset in an environment that looks unreal: table mountains of volcanic origin, sparse vegetation, gorges. The right place to recover from an exhausting trip through Namibia...

We had a wonderful stay at Palmwag Campsite. We treated ourselves to the dinner, wow it was absolutely divine and the staff so friendly and helpful. Just a pity we did not see Jimbo wandering about camp, next time.

It was a first for us on the Camping2 Go and it was perfect - The tent equipment etc. etc. was all as expected and outweighed our expectations making our stay really pleasant Thank you. I just wish to point out that I believe the food in the restaurant, as well as the Game drives (incl. Rhino tracking and guided walking tours) is most definitely not anywhere in a price range that justifies the service or quality that you receive. Well aware that you will have to pay more for food as in a town but the magnitude of pricing is just horrific. We met some Tourists at the pool one afternoon also expressing their dismay about this. Also if one wants to download some reading material or music for the trip ahead the WIFI limit is very low and the upgrade to be bought is also not in a normal price range. Another thing that should be addressed by Gondwana is the incompetence, arrogance, and abuse of powers by the personnel at the red line gate. Knowing that this is not Gondwana staff but most definitely affect the state of wellbeing of the guests of Gondwana
