First of all, the place is complete renovated and you can see that they thought of every little detail.
The rooms ar big, clean, with a Great private bathroom.
There is a beautiful garden with different places to hang out.
There is a fridge with drinks (also alcoholic) you a free to rake when you hang out in your room of garden.
The Breakfast is lovely and you van order different things and the make it fresh for you.
De locaties is good, its walkingdistance te the waterfront. There is always a guard in de night Who let you in when you Come back and there is a private parking for free.

It's complete package of friendly staff en a lovely place to relax en discover Cape Town.
There was nothing I didn't like (magbe the only thing is that it is an old house, so you can here People walking the stairs. But there a only 8 rooms so it is not busy.

We stayed at Harpers House for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay overall. The house is beautiful and well decorated. The room was big with a very nice ensuite bathroom and the staff was super friendly.
The breakfast selection is limited but good (the fresh juices and the muesli are specially nice!)
We also enjoyed the location, quiet and very close to the waterfront.

If you are looking for complete piece and quiet though this is not the place for you. As the house is old, you can hear the cracking floors and every other person’s movement/talks. This was not so much of a problem for us, however,
during the daily electricity cuts (which we were not informed about) we also had a beeping noise just outside our room that needed to be turned off by pressing a button.
The staff took care of turning it off most of the time but we had to do it ourselves a couple of times as it woke us up during the night.

To sum up, if you don’t mind a bit of noise, this is great value for money.

A beautiful house with amazing staff that made our stay so memorable. Breakfast was delicious especially the coconut oats 💕
Bed was super comfortable & the shower was fantastic. Lovely restaurants nearby too.
The staff really made our stay here very special. We got Ubers everywhere from the guesthouse & they were always there within a couple of minutes. Thanks so much again to the amazing staff at Harpers House that really made all the difference to our stay in Cape Town ❤️🇿🇦

We stayed at Harpers House for 4 nights at the beginning of our 10 day stay in South Africa.

The hotel is in a great location, a 15 minute walk to the V&A but far enough away that you’re away from all the hustle and bustle of the centre.

The hotel is stunning, staff are friendly, pillows are huge! Breakfast is wonderful.

My only negative for this hotel is the rooms are a bit noisy, which was frustrating when people were up early on one of the mornings during our stay for a large bike ride. The hotel do provide earplugs and this was only an issue on 1 night/morning. Other than this we had a great stay

We stayed at Harper’s House for 4 nights. Initially we were about to book another more expensive hotel for our time in Cape town, but my wife loved nice authentic design of Harper’s and we booked it. We shall admit, that this is the case, when reality is better than expectations. Harper’s is a very cosy and stylish villa. Especial thanks to the staff. We do really enjoyed “handmade hospitality” here. Many thanks for the breakfasts, which were very tasty and tailored for our preferences.
Harper’s established a very high standard for all further hotels in our trip in South Africa.

A perfect stay if you are looking for a beautiful, updated but also charming, clean and comfortable stay at a guesthouse that has personality. The breakfasts were very good especially the juice and creamy coconut oats and the staff are incredibly friendly. Great location for me as i was looking for a place that was in a quieter neighbourhood but also close to the waterfront. I also stayed in hotels near the v&a and simpler guest houses in camps bay but harpers house was my favourite. It is an older building however so i was mindful to be more quiet as the walls are not as soundproof compared to regular buildings. I stayed here as a solo female traveler and loved it - i wasn’t looking to meet other travelers for this part of my stay but more a comfortable and cute place to go back to after my activities in the day. Its very easy and reasonable to get around Cape Town in ubers so this location was perfect.

Very charming authentic stay, at an ideal base to discover Cape Town. It is located in Greenpoint near V&A Waterfront. The stay is run by very charming local people, where you are treated very personally. The breakfast is delicious and fresh, which you can enjoy both inside and outside. The terrace with beautiful pool completes it!

Harpers House was a great base for exploring Cape Town and the surrounding area.

It is about a 15 minute walk to the V&A and we felt safe walking there day or night time,

The staff were excellent, friendly and very attentive.
The location was very secure, in a quiet street.

We were so pleased that we booked this lovely little hotel for our 8 night stay in Cape Town and would definitely stay there again if we came back to the area.

We booked the Harpers House at the last minute when our previous arrangements fell through, so we knew little about it other than that it was in Green Point, but it ended up being an excellent place to stay. The room was comfortable and well appointed (with a great shower), the staff was extremely friendly and professional, and the common space was attractive, with nice outdoor spaces and gardens. The real standout, however, was the included breakfast, with fresh juices and a nice array of food and coffee options. Would definitely recommend this little gem.
