camp très agréable avec des bungalows tout confort. Les repas et les petits déjeuners, très bons, sont préparés par le staff et ne sont pas aux normes occidentales. On apprécie de vivre des moments qui sortent des habitudes. Le camp n'est pas très loin du village, mais placés au milieu des dunes, ce qui permet des levers et des couchers de soleil fabuleux et des ciels étoilés comme on ne sait plus en avoir sous les latitudes européennes. L'équipe du camp prépare un feu de camp qui offre des moments extraordinaires d'observation du ciel. Un grand merci à Mohammed pour une visite guidée du Wadi bani khalid et des routes dans le désert qui nous nous montrent que ce pays demande des techniques bien particulières, à l'image de la vie dans le désert tellement loin de ce que l'on peut connaitre. Pour les transferts vers le camp, sans 4x4 ne pas hésiter à appeler le camp pour les transferts. un endroit vraiment à recommander.…

I came with a rent 4WD, so be prepared to find the way off-road. About 5km from the last small village with paved roads. 4WD is a must, otherwise you get stuck in deep sand. The villas are without frills, from my point of view this meets exactly the environment you are in: desert. However, warm water is provided, buffet dinner and breakfast is included and both are very good. The landscape around the place is great, you can walk around or drive around with your car (all off-road) or have a camel ride (guided). Night sky is outstanding, as there is no light pollution at all. Stuff is very friendly. Room is clean and the bed very comfortable.

More of an "open plan" hotel than a camp. The rooms were large with modern furnishings with private bathroom. Dinner and Breakfast were provided and were both delicious. It is easy to walk out into the dunes to experience sunset/sunrise or enjoy the stars at night. If coming by 2WD car, it will cost 10-15OMR for the rest of the way to the camp, which is a little expensive. If you have a 4WD just follow google maps and it will lead you right there. Overall great way to stay in the sands if you want a comfortable bed and hot shower!
