We made our way to the bar beside the pool. Ordered drinks to chill on. The bar was empty and I was happy about that, I mean what other way would you spend your afternoon with your friend. The drinks were affordable.

Later we moved to their summer huts to explore the place and take all the pictures to share. You might want to go with a Bluetooth speaker if you go in the daytime.

You are assured of a luxurious experience when you stay at the Maaha Beach Resort at an affordable rate. You get to stay in a beautiful room with a sea view, all you need is to select a room. Their room rates start at 840 cedis. Their amenities include

All the way out west along the coast is the Maaha Resort where I was for a week long workshop. For the professional services it was so so and some of the staff just seem to lack training. Everyone is kind and the physical property is really lovely, although access to the beach and the quality of the beach could be better. The night lighting also is too much and takes away from the natural ambiance at night. The conference room was very dark and there wasn't a great solution for a projector for power points. The cafeteria and food services were very good. The room itself was only mediocre and could use a serious modernization. Was very rustic. Overall a good stay but with a few big shortcomings. Still I would return for the food, live music, and relaxed atmosphere.

The room facilities were really old and had the old cabin smell but the facilities were very clean! Great service, friendly staff. Beautiful grounds. I loved the complementary coconut water offered in the middle of the day during hot weather!

1. Gave us the wrong food for dinner and did nothing to rectify it. We wanted to order al a carte and they said it wasn’t possible
2. Internet in our room didn’t work throughout the two night stay (which they kept insisting they would fix ‘soon’, had to go to reception to get work done
3. Majority of the DSTV channels did not work- they claimed it was an issue with the service provider which was never rectified
4. Breakfast Buffett was cleared up an hour early (marketing manager Sylvia wasn’t even aware)
5. When lights in the bedroom were turned off at night one was still blinking through out the night
6. Operations manager-Jean, claimed the only way they would have been able to give compensation is if we hadn’t paid upfront, however, their booking policy insists we have to pay upfront. Jean says they don’t do any kind of refund because they need to protect their revenue.
7. Manager Sylvia avoided us when we were checking out to avoid dealing with the above.

Customer service is of no importance to them.

GO TO LOU MOON, it’s 100% worth the money, excellent customer service and excellent food. We went there before coming to Maaha

(MARCH 2022) I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it. From power outages that prevent you from getting running water in your room to a poor selection of food and the slowest service. A big wire gate runs along the property line obstructing the view of the breach and cheapening the experience. The rooms and other amenities ( the ones that are actually open) are nothing close to what is depicted on the website's pictures and videos, which explains the low occupancy rate. This was a big disappointment and horrible introduction to the western region. When making complaints, be prepared to be met with empty apologies and no offer for the inconvenience.

I stayed for 3 days, and the power (and water) went out on each day. After speaking to the manager named Anand (over the phone) and letting him know of all the inconveniences, he only issued an apology. I pushed back, and he said all he could do was provide complementary breakfast and lunch and that issuing a refund, in full or in part, would take over a month to process. You run a hotel. Why would it take a month to issue a refund to guests who are probably only staying at your establishment for a few days? Prior to checking out at breakfast, I asked to speak to Anand directly and was told he was too busy to speak to me.

When I went to check-out, Anand came out of the back office to let us know that he'd done all he could possibly do by offering us complimentary meals that in my view amount to approximately $25 - this is not enough considering I had to sit in my hotel for hours dirty, and with no lights, A/C or running water to bathe or simply wash my hands after using the unflushable toilet. I read this review to the manager prior to me posting this and it was fine with him because he felt that he did his best to accommodate. Please, folks, save yourself the headache and disappointment and book yourself into a different hotel.

I loved this place! Customer service 100% Attention to customers was amazing. It's quite far from the Takoradi airport probably why the hotel shuttle is so expensive. If they considered reducing the shuttle price they may be surprised at the increase in guests. I will definitely be going back when i am in Ghana again.

We stayed here over Christmas for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. We had rooms that looked right out at the ocean, and we loved opening the window and listening to the sound of the waves. The beach was so beautiful and perfect for swimming. We enjoyed walking along the beach in the mornings and afternoons to watch the fishing boats coming and going from the local villages. The staff was so kind and helpful. The holiday buffet meals were delicious, especially the grilled tilapia. Please note that there are many different room types and locations, so be sure to book the room that you would like.

Excellent place for our honeymoon. The shower in the first room allocated almost electrocuted us, but we were given a new room as soon as we complained. Food was awesome and well varied with BBQ nights, etc

First, watch out for falling coconuts. This is no joke. One nearly hit and killed our tour guide. They fall from over 100 feet and the trees are everywhere over the paths. A good hotel would remove them but they won’t. Next, no water in my room. I finally after a day was able to move to a room with water but they refused to reimburse any amount for the room without water. They only laughed.
