The Memoire d'Angkor is the best hotel in Cambodia. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. The pool is secluded, with a great sense of serenity and privacy, surrounded by beautiful scented vegetation. Best of all, all the members of the staff are friendly and helpful. Judy, Souvann, and Kimsinh (as well as all the other staff members) were extraordinarily hospitable and welcoming to us. We will definitely recommend the Memoire to all our friends!

A hotel with a very unique identity and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was continuously available and attentive to our needs. We arrived relatively late and we were allowed an after-hours dinner in the hotel restaurant. Water and fresh fruit were available in the room, which was very clean. The next day we had an extremely early tour to Angkor Wat and all the other temples in the region and they provided a basket with complete, balanced, nutritious breakfasts, to the point that we shared them with our guide and driver and it was still more than enough for all. All of this without directly asking for anything, just based on the attention to the information and details we provided. It was the hotel we spent the least amount of time on our trip, but there wasn't a single moment we didn't feel the cared and welcomed. We highly recommend going to the spa and trying a Khmer massage. After so many walking tours and strenuous activities, we left feeling rejuvenated. Breakfast offered options that we didn't even find in larger cities like Bangkok or Hanoi (maybe some additional care displaying some items, but nothing more to add). Strongly recommended.

Great value for money! Food is always good, staff is so friendly and does eveything they possibly can to make the guest happy. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Location is great! A quick walk to the action, but far enough away to get your peace! Had a wonderful massage from Linda Hoy. She hit all the right spots! Leaving a happy man!

Nice hotel, but probably excellent in the past. It just felt like it was getting a little tired. Location is great to walk into the main city center, with plenty of small restaurants nearby. The room was fine & comfortable. Buffet Breakfast was fine. The pool is great. Staff are really great. I wouldn’t eat or drink in the hotel…two coffees cost us as much as a lunchtime meal in a small restaurant.

I am puzzled by the great reviews for this hotel. I am afraid I will have to go against the grain as we didn't have a good experience - you can see from my other reviews that I am usually very positive so this is very unusual. We had booked a Memoire Suite. On check in, we found that single window in the room faced directly onto a wall, meaning no natural light came in, and the whole space was dark and dingy (not helped by poor ceiling lighting). We decided to ask if there was any possibility to move to a different room, but were very surprised when reception told us that all room of the type we had booked, had a window facing directly onto a wall. I later checked, and there is nothing on the hotel room description to say this, I would definitely not have booked had I been warned. They moved us to a smaller room type, which had a better window situation, but this looked out onto a lot of industrial plant / HVAC kit which was not ideal. And after spending time in the room we realised that the only room with any form of light was the bedroom, the other spaces were still very dark and dingy, we felt it was quite a miserable room. However at this point we decided to make the most of it and stay in the new room. We were overdue some lunch, having travelled several hours from our previous hotel, so went to the hotel restaurant to grab something to eat. Service in here was terrible, even though there was only ourselves and one other couple. The other people had to repeatedly ask where their food was, they seemed to wait an eternity, and ours wasn't much better. The food that arrived was one of the worst meals we had in Vietnam and Cambodia. It was very plain, not nicely cooked, even in the cheap homestays we had used elsewhere, we'd had beautifully cooked food. So it did the job as we needed to eat, but it was not nice. The breakfast was also really quite awful. The items that were supposed to be hot, looked to be on hotplates as expected, however the food was cold. I don't mean a little cool, I do actually mean stone cold, so I can only assume that the hot plates were not turned on. This was a real disappointment. The cleaners had been in the room and taken the used towels, but they had not replaced them, nor had they replaced the toilet roll, meaning we had none left at all. When we first noticed, we thought perhaps the towel and toilet roll replenishment was done by a different person to the main cleaner, and that they would be dealt with later in the afternoon (I have had this at other hotels before). However when nothing materialised by around 5pm we asked at reception. They apologised and said they would get it sorted out. However it was later in the evening before anyone came, meaning we could not have a shower prior to going out for our evening meal. The door to the room was faulty, which meant that sometimes we were unable to get the latch to click shut when we came back to the room. This meant that the door was pulled closed, but actually was not secured, meaning anyone could just walk in. Each time we left the room we had to fiddle with the lock for quite a while, to get it to actually click locked, which was quite stressful each time we were coming and going. The bar area at the pool was closed the whole team we were there. We'd had a busy holiday travelling around lots of places and doing activities, but the 5 days here were intended to include some downtime, relaxing by the pool. So it was really disappointing that we could not get drinks or snacks in the pool area at all.  I know that there are so many positive reviews and so this above will likely be dismissed as me being overly picky. All I can say is that this really isn't the case, we almost never complain about anything, and accept that some gremlins can crop up. But we seemed to just have so many problems here, that it really spoiled our stay. We actually ended up checking out 3 days early and moving to a different hotel, which turned out to be a great decision.

The hotel is located on a main road with a small frontage but do not let that put you off. It is very quiet and you can hear no road noise. Inside, the hotel itself is stunningly beautiful with local artwork throughout and this is enhanced by the fabulous staff. From the reception staff to the room cleaning crew, everyone is so nice, friendly and helpful in a professional way. The breakfast choice is wide and varied and of excellent quality and here again the staff are brilliant. It is unfair to pick out any individual as all are so good but we must mention Hach and Leap for their personalities.

We love Siem Reap. We have stayed several times at the Memoire.. It is classy, friendly and not to big so the service is very personalised. Since last years visit they have reopened a new area for breakfast. This hotel is conveniently located close to the shops and pub street. It was exciting to see so many of the same staff as last year. Miss Judy goes beyond to help make our stay memorable. The pool area is lovely and the rooms are beautiful. We have been so many times before because we love it here.

Absolutely lovely hotel. We came as a family hiring 1 double and 1 triple room. Rooms were big enough for our 5 day stay. Bathrooms had the necessary toiletries available. There was daily housekeeping with fresh towels daily. Extra pillows and iron available upon request. Breakfast had sufficient variety from breads/pastries/cereals to hot foods such as chicken sausages and other hot meals including an egg station. Staff were very accommodating of all our requests includinf vegetarian meals for one of our travellers. We also had a leg and foot massage which was absolutely amazing and soothing! Hotel is located a few minutes walk away from Angkor Market (local mini supermarket) and about 10 minute walk from Pub Street which was perfect for the tourist vibe and meals. Judy was extremely helpful before, during and even after our stay. She organised airport transfers and helped us book our angkor wat tour (driver + official guide). Judy and her team were absolutely amazing and made our stay so lovely. They were all always smiling, happy, welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this stay for anyone! Thank you Judy and Team for making our time in Cambodia even more special!
