We had an amazing stay with William and Theresa! We were so well looked after and they ensured all our comforts were met. Nothing better than watching thw wildlife at the water hole from your door step. We also had the pleasure of seeing the giraffes feeding mear meters away. Definitely will be back!

Although we stayed for only one night we had a great time at this property. A great welcome by the owners and then made to feel really at home. Our accommodation was very good, clean and wonderfully located with views of the valley. We spent the early evening on the verandah with a glass of wine watching the animals (giraffes, impale and .......) at the waterhole below the main house. We were treated toan excellent breakfast before we departed. An all round good experience and lovely people. Thankyou.

I found Aloe and Elephant Lodge on Lekka Slaap.coza whilst looking for an overnight stay. When I arrived I was greeted by William and some of his pet Giraffes who seem to enjoy hanging out at the watering hole in front of the lodge. The rooms were clean, neat and tidy and had everything in that one would need for an overnight stay. They were kind enough to make a fire for me so that I could braai some meet and we spent the night getting to know each other. Had a good sleep and woke up to giraffes still hanging out on the front lawn. Breakfast was great and I was on my way again. In summary. Super hospitable hosts and I couldn't have asked for more. Should I be traveling in the area again and require accommodation I would not think twice about checking in at Aloe and Elephant Lodge. A truly tranquil and pleasant experience.

William and Teresa run a fantastic lodge in the Grahamstown area. They are great hosts and ensure you have a comfortable stay. It's so cool to see all the animals running around the property. Nothing like having one of William's home-brewed beers on the balcony while a giraffe walks by :) My only wish is that the toilets/bathroom within the rooms had doors. The partners that Aloe And Elephant uses for game drives are also amazing. You can get the entire safari experience here for a fraction of the cost!
