We went diving in Sodwana with Adventure Mania, and used Ogwini lodge as our accommodation. We were in room 31, a double bed that was huge, and extremely comfortable. The room was spotless! The bathroom was a shower, basin and toilet that was very compact.
The accommodation said self catering, but this was not really possible in the room. You needed to use the main boma area for cooking etc. There is a fridge and microwave, 2 plate stove and toaster in the room. The 2 plate stove was balanced on top of the microwave, and was a bit dangerous. The air conditioner was working perfectly and was a godsend :-)
You need to take your own towels, which is not really mentioned in their communications.
We also had a TV in our room, but this was not connected. The TV in the other rooms were working and have SABC 1, SABC 2 and SABC 3.
All in all we had a good stay, but in terms of self catering in the small rooms, we would suggest somewhere else.

The place needs to be maintained properly. Aircons did not work and we ended up getting one to work, geyser made a terrible noise like a tractor when anyone in the complex turned on the tap and woke us up, fridge did not work which they kindly fixed, oven did not work and I specifically asked for a unit with am oven. Yhere was old plate of food in the microwave when we got there. Once I paid the balance of the accommodation, we did not see the manager. In fact he ignored us and avoided us. The pool was nice and we spent lots of time in there. It could be a nice place with favorable rates if care was given to the maintenance.

We were a group of 14 having one couple. Single rooms of two were provided without any self catering. But the lady manager Gladys made one couple room available for us having self catering facility and for rest of us the conference room was fully booked without any extra charge. All facilities provided were really wonderfull and we had a remarkable time at the lodge.
Also while ariving to destination we got lost and stuck in sand thanks to google map. Gladys tried her level best to ensure our safety. We were overwhelmed by the hospitality provide by lodge.
Highly recomended if you are looking for a group booking.
Have fun.

When we first stayed at Ogwini (March 2017), we were so blown away buy the hospitality, cleanliness and "made to feel at home" feeling that we stayed at Ogwini 2 weeks later for Easter Weekend.

We stayed in the 2 sleeper room, with the kitchenettes - and even with the size of the room - it just felt like home.

Needless to say, we were met with the same hospitality and maybe even a little more, as now we were forming part of the Ogwini family.

After staying with Ogwini in March and April 2017, we decided that there would be no better place to spend our Christmas and New Years and so Ogwini it was.

The kindness, thoughtfulness and assistance we received from the Ogwini family was so overwhelming in our December visit. Gladys made sure that we were constantly looked after and happy. On Christmas Day she even brought us a little wooden Christmas tree so our morning of present opening was just that more special.

We honestly adore Ogwini and the Ogwini family and would suggest to anyone who is looking for a extremely comfy bed, super clean rooms and phenomenal hospitality to stay at Ogwini.

We booked the conference hall, including accommodation, for a workshop evening. Everything was neatly organized with provisions for "in case of". The venue is comfortable with ample space, bathrooms and kitchen for catering purposes. Our accommodation were in basic self-catering rooms which were neat, clean and comfortable. Nothing more needed! The self-catering chalets are very well laid out and equipped and also very neat, clean and comfortable. There is also a large house catering for a family or bigger group with kitchen. There's a lovely pool with communal roofed braai facilities. The surrounds are quiet and it is close to dive charters and an easy drive to the beach. The best part of this place (except that the rates are unbeatable) is the friendly and heart-warming welcome and encompassing service provided by our hostess, Gladys. Thank you very much for a memorable stay!

This place is ideal for your scuba diving trip. The accommodation is clean and well looked after. About 10mins drive from the sea. Nice braai facilities, but not assigned to each unit. They are communal. Not luxury, but very pleasant.

My wife and I stayed at Ogwini for 3 nights over our dive vacation to Sodwana Bay. This was arranged by Reefteach and I cant thank them enough for the wonderful arrangements. Gladys who manages the place made us feel as if we have come back home instead of being guests. We had a wonderful stay with some very nice evenings over barbeque and the pool. The room was excellent and meticulously maintained. They were actually cleaning the rooms twice a day which made it feel like we were checking in every time we entered the room. I promised myself that I will stay here everytime I dive at Sodwana!!!
The location of the lodge is amazing with dive resorts every 10 steps in all directions. The supermarket and bottle store are just a stone's throw away.
