We have visited A Day in Africa Lodge twice now. Once as a large group and again as a couple. The first time around the hospitality was amazing and we did not think it could get any better but we were proved wrong. Andre is so attentive to his guests, always ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He made sure all our dives were arranged for us and arrangements were communicated well in advance so we could plan our time well. The food was exceptional and his staff constantly went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. From the accommodation to the food to the activities and hospitality we could not find a fault. We had a superb stay once again!

What a pleasant experience! We arrived to a warm and open welcome from the owner, Andre, and were pleasantly surprised with A Day In Africa Lodge! From the atmosphere, the awesome food from the Elephant Watering Hole Restaurant on-site and the overall attention to detail making this a truly homely and personal experience. The cottage was marvellous, decorated very tastefully in a unique African theme creating a true African Bushveld ambience. The bushveld feeling combined with the bonus of the beach within 5 minutes reach, is the best of both worlds for any traveller! We enjoyed every moment of our stay at A Day In Africa Lodge. From the warm reception we got, to the beautiful scenery by the poolside. We have found our new favourite place in Kwazulu-Natal! Exceptional value for money. The luxury Safari Honeymoon Tents, complete with an air-conditioner and customized bathroom looked amazing! We will definitely be back reserving one of those units in the near future. Thank you Andre for an awesome experience!

Travelling from Croatia, South Africa was a very foreign topic for us. Andre fetched us in Durban 450km away and dropped us back at the airport again, we couldn't believe the effort he put in just to make us feel at home. From the delicious home cooked meals to the multiple day trips the beach, the tembi elephant reserve, lake sibaya and so much more, he made sure that in our short time we were there that we got to see and do everything. Thank you so so much and we will most definitely be back.

I stayed at A Day In Africa for three nights on a scuba diving trip and I had an excellent time! André, the owner of this beautiful lodge, is the kind of person that already makes you feel welcome and comfortable before you even arrive at his place. From the moment of booking till I got back home (I even got a follow up phone call to check if I arrived home safely), the level of customer service was very high. Furthermore, the scuba diving organised by the lodge was magnificent and the food at the extremely delicious. The place is a bit hard to find if you don't know where it is, but just give André a call and he will come and fetch you from the main road. Recommended place!

A day in Africa is quite a special place. It is like a home away from home, just better, rolling out from your bed and into your wet suite to go diving , friendly and helpful staff, Andre the owner is always ready for action, diving, talking, advising regardless. The best is one don’t have to worry about cooking as there is three course meal included in the accommodation cost, the food is well prepared and presented, if you like you can even have brunch on the beach in between dives – yeah! The accommodation – “A day in Africa” says it all, it is a step ahead off the competition, the rooms are serviced daily, the styling is rustic with plaster patches purposely left off to add to the atmosphere - a day in Africa – nice one Andre; The restaurant, bar and pool is central to the facilities and very well suited to learn or advance your diving career or if you choose to just relax next to the pool to soak up some lushes South Africa sun. Friendly professional staff, dive instructors and they come well recommended! The best kept secret is the tented accommodation that is very luxurious or if you want to get close to Africa you can bring your own tent or caravan and camp with great central facilities.

We really loved this accommodation. The owner is a super great host with lots of fluffy doggies, who will all make you feel like you have arrived at your new home. Sodwana Bay is a great location for divers and this accommodation is perfectly equipped to host local but also international divers. We slept in the luxury tents which are brand new and offer rustic luxury at its best. Unfortunately, it was too cool to jump into the pool but it definetly looked very tempting. I think what impressed us most was the dinner. We had bunny chow in homemade bread and i can not describe how good it was. We were in bunny chow heaven. Thank you so much for your hospitality - we can not wait to come back and learn with you how to dive :-)

I visited A Day In Africa Lodge this past weekend and I must say, what an amazing time I had. The place is on point, clean and welcoming. Andre "the owner'' is very kind and the staff is very helpful. If you want to experience Africa then I suggest you visit A Day In Africa Lodge. Very Unique, Original and Special in it's own way. Take some time out to A Day In Africa Lodge and you will come back a new person. That is a promise...

We went to visit A day in Africa lodge for our 3 year anniversary, what a place!! We stayed in a very up maket tent, with a full on bathroom and a lovely big bed. I will recommend this place for divers and non divers, they launch their own boats ,breakfast get served, a lunch and supper, the food is super and the service is great!!The restaurant is in the premises called The elephant waterhole. This place is amazing for a getaway! I will always return. The tent we stayed in was amazing. Ive loaded some photos, this place is phenomenal and they have other accommodation as well, but the tent is my absolute favorite. If i go to sodwana again, i will NEVER stay elsewhere. It's close to thr beach ad well.

We spent a week in Sodwana and only on our last day we discovered A day in Africa Lodge. Andre's restaurant was closed the afternoon and only opened evenings but he made an effort and let us relax in the pool with drinks while he phoned his kitchen staff to come dine for us. We spent the whole afternoon there and had EXCELLENT food. He went out of his way even when we were the only guests at the restaurant that afternoon. Next time we'll definitely go back to Andre for a stay and fantastic food.
