Really enjoyed my stay in this tastefully decorated little corner of Provence in South Africa. Peaceful and comfortable. Will be back! Just a pity about the lack of a welcome, and no information given as to where to eat, local activities etc. Really had to find my own way around the guest house and the town.

Everything about this place is perfect. We spent our day outside under the big oak tree at the pool. The perfect place for a serene and tranquil weekend in the lovely Riebeeck Kasteel Valley. You can walk to the center of the little village to have a drink or something to eat or just to browse through the quint little...

We visited Riebeek Kasteel for a wedding and booked the entire house as we were 4 couples and a single. Upon arrival we were welcomed with chilled champagne waiting. The house was amazing to say the least and we were very comfortable from the second we put our bags down! Beds are super comfortable and the layout of the house...

Beautiful place in the middle of town. I would say this is ideal if you are a large group of people of a family. Very good kitchen facilities. You are walking distance from everything in town. Very neat and clean. Free wifi. I won't mind coming back. The host made some good recommendations as far as restaurants go.

Shades of Provence was a beautiful quaint peaceful property. Our room was immaculate, the living quarters had everything you could ask for in your own house + more. I would highly recommend Shades of Provence for couple, families or a group getaway. Value plus for money.

We occupied the guesthouse for 2 nights and it was a pleasant experience. The place was neat , clean and very nice decorated. It has tremendous outside area to relax. Except for the swimming pool(we did not use it because it was cold) there is also space outside to sit and relax. We enjoy staying there and will surely come...

We stayed with 8 adults and 4 kids and there was more than enough space. Lovely setting and great facilities. It stayed cool inside on a sweltering day and the pool was great too. The housekeeper was unobtrusive and friendly.
