We recently spent 4 magical days at this luxurious old farmhouse. Set in a surrounding of rolling vineyards and olive groves, the house is beautifully restored, luxuriously furnished and immaculately kept. The swimming pool was a blessing in the heat of summer. The house is close enough to the restaurants ( all excellent) and shops but set back from town just enough to escape. A visit to Kloovenburg for wine and olive tasting is a must. We cannot wait to return.

This old historic home has several eautifully appointed room. Spic and span, complimentary wine, Smart TV. No fridge in room but in public area. You can sit in the garden and enjoy beautiful views. Only downside is breakfast is a voucher for Eight Feet Village bistro where we waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive.

We had spent our Wedding Anniversary at this beautiful property. From the outset Maria was most helpful in assisting us as walk-in guests and provided us with feedback regarding breakfast that was off site as well as how to go about having spa treatments arranged at the Pastorie. We subsequently met Wenen who finalized our accommodation as well as our treatments. Wenen handled all our requests in a very professional manner and she also made us feel most welcome. Breakfast at 8 Feet was an absolute treat and we thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking views over the Riebeek Kasteel valley! We’ll definitely go back.

We are regular visitors to Riebeeck Kasteel for weekend visits. And this was the first time at Kloovenburg Pastorie Guesthouse.
WOW WOW WOW.. I could just stay there and not move at all to go into town. Beautifull room, was in the luxury room with seperate bathroom. Gardens pool everything was neat and full of little detail.
Welcome bottle of Kloovenburg wine greeted us.
And a voucher for Breakfast in town.
Thank you Allison for the warm welcome.
Will have to return and stay longer.

The Pastorie came highly recommended thus my husband and I were very surprised by the following aspects:
1. The Hotel was completely empty. We were the only guests. No staff on property. We were given keys to the property and alarm clickers to arm the hotel. A very unnerving experience.
2. The pillows were very uncomfortable. They only had very large decorative pillows. If placed under the head neck was craned at 90 degrees. We both had a very sleepless night.
3. There were no toiletries in the bathroom. Shower gel attached to the wall in the sower - but that was it. No soap. No shampoo. No conditional. No lotion.
4. Breakfast is not included. There was no service in the morning. No homemade rusks as advertised.
5. No turndown service.

We went to Riebeek for the Olive Festival and this was one of the only places available for accommodation and we feel we lucked out. Great value for money and we loved this place! We were met on arrival and given the keys and some instructions and other than seeing a few other guests here and there coming and going over the weekend we had the place to ourselves. We stayed for 3 nights, we never got into the car, the location is convenient to town and restaurants including most of the venues for the festival. There was a mix-up with the beds on arrival and they gave us a little gift of homemade soap (made from olives on the estate) to compensate. Guests are also given a complimentary bottle of wine made on the estate. Highly recommended and we would return. Also highly recommend the olive festival which was a lot of fun.

This place is simply incredible. It's as if someone left you in their gorgeous country home -- complete with living room, huge covered porch with views of the village and vineyards beyond. The swimming pool is simply perfect and fitted out with lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels. If you're looking for low-intrusion, high-lux getaway, this place is for you. By low intrusion, I mean you're on your own for breakfast (this isn't a b&B) and there's no staff on site after 5 p.m. The morning cleaning crew and manager, melissa, are great. You literally have the house to yourself (just 3 rooms in total) in the evenings/morning. The rooms are absolutely spotless and perfect - amazingly comfy beds, top-notch lines, huge bath and separate shower, literally STACKS of fluffy towels and great local bath products. I could've stayed for years!

Tucked away among the vineyards, this guesthouse offers superb accommodation. We felt like royalty in the luxurious rooms and were so relaxed after our weekend here. Expect a cold bottle of wine on arrival, a warm welcome, and a beautiful room.

The pool had to be our favorite part of the guesthouse. It was so hot while we were in Riebeek Kasteel, and being able to just relax by the pool made everything better. The location of this property is ideal, being a short walk away from all of the amazing restaurants and shops in the town. The breakfast vouchers are such a nice touch.

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful escape from the city, then Kloovenburg is highly recommended by us. The best guesthouse in Riebeek Kasteel.
