This was a very pleasant B&B with a welcoming proprietor, exotic room furnishings, a very comfortable bed and nicely served breakfast. A small shock on arrival in that there was a notice indicating the property had been sold! So the Cow is on the run (to Napier) where the business will reopen in April.

I booked this guesthouse for our wedding anniversary and was so excited about my impending visit as it looks like a lovely place! I delayed my advance payment for a couple of days due to losing my purse plus credit cards, and the owner said that was fine, no problem! Then today, the day we agreed payment the owner rang...

I am extremely sorry that this was such a bad experience for the guest, but she is unfortunately not telling the whole, true story! Since the first email from my side, I stressed that payment should be made ASAP to SECURE the booking as it was for Valentine's Day and it is always a very busy period and it happened...

Stayed here for our daughters wedding. This place has to be seen to be believed. The attention to detail is amazing. Hanniki is the most fantastic hostess. She made a special plan for a pre wedding breakfast with all the ladies which was absolutely delicious. We had a most comfortable 2 nights stay. Thank you.

The Victorian Cow is run by Hanneki who gives warm, personal care to her guests in this very unique B&B. A mixture of French and Victorian decor is enchanting and interesting - coupled with a good quality bed and high quality linen, made for a very comfortable stay. Hanneki's breakfasts are outstanding. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying with Hanniki for 2 nights while in town for a friend's wedding. We stayed on the charming Victoria De Lux room with it's 4 poster bed and beautiful Victorian decor. We thoroughly enjoyed our room and had 2 very comfortable night's sleep. I highly recommend staying in this room. But Hanniki...

I recently got married in Riebeeck Kasteel and we stayed there for a weekend! It was INCREDIBLE. The facilities are kept so neat and tidy and Hanniki who does everything by herself was the most charming and accommodating host! Honestly, I can not wait to go back there!

We stayed here just one night and had to leave early so we took a packed breakfast. The room was a one-off. It's the most decorated room I've seen...there's no shortage of bric a brac and pictures and bits and pieces. One person's "charming" is likely to be another persons "kitsch" so you can make up your own mind. Hanniki...
