Close to the Edge, property is conveniently placed. Privacy is excellent as all the guest units are 'hidden' amongst the beautiful trees and gardens (no worries about bumping into any other guests if you want some 'me time'. It almost like staying in a piece of the wood itself. The host is very friendly and assistive. Also very knowledgeable about recommendations on best to do's, scenic places and dining. We felt very much at home while staying there.

We were enchanted to stay in the cottage our children rented years ago... and it is still as magical as when we visited them... The cottage is comfortable now that has been renovated with larger spaces. It is well equipped. Two things... the view from the deck should be opened up more it is so beautiful...after all the cottage is known for its views of the hogs. The little tree right in front of the deck can also go... it is quite forgettable. The shower is difficult to regulate... it is either too hot or too cold. We will definately visit Jaya's place again and stay in Orchard Cottage. Ian, the host was friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Dear Veronica. I am sorry I missed you. Thank you for the review. We are in the process of felling the tress in front of Orchard so hopefully next time you visit you will have a full view of the Hogs. As for the silly little tree on the right of the deck, we have chopped it down a number of times but as an invasive alien it is very persistence and just comes up again! We put in gas showers to deal with the frequent power outages but then have to battle with low water pressure from the municipal supply. We plan to fit electric geysers to all the units, along side the gas geysers so that when we have long periods of no power (most recent of which was more than 2 weeks) there will still be a hot water supply. Kind regards

We found our host and hostess to be very warm, friendly and helpful people. The accommodation was very comfortable for our purposes and the house had everything needed for a self catering holiday. It is definitely a place worth returning too for future visits..

Fantastic accommodation. Ian is incredibly hospitable, but also extremely efficient. He gave us a tour on the farm, the work he does there is truly inspirational! We are planning on going back. The price is worth what you get and lots of space for the kids to play and have fun.

We absolutely loved our stay at Jayas! The cottage was stunning, clean and the view was great. I will definitely stay at Jaya's again and might actually just make it our go to place to stay whenever we stay in Hogsback. Thank you Ian and Jaya's Staff for the great service!
