Just returned from a 3 night break with my husband at Mrs Mills Yurts. We stayed in Hildegarde and I can honestly say it was everything we hoped it would be. As soon as you get there it exudes a feeling of calm tranquillity that lasts the whole stay. The yurt was really lovely and the bed so comfortable. Nicola (Mrs Mills) was a lovely hostess and she has everything organised down to a tee. Having your own fridge in the communal kitchen and your own private toilet /shower room was lovely. As far as cooking goes you can be as 'bear grylls' as you like with the outdoor open fire, or maybe, as we did, prefer the gas camping stoves or even use all the mod cons in the communal kitchen - all the choices are there. Having breakfast delivered to the door on the first morning and the cakes left for you every afternoon was such a treat. The highlight though had to be the hot tub, even the inclement weather didn't spoil that - its was so nice. I would highly recommend this place and would love to return for another visit.

We have just arrived back from a two night stay at Mrs Mills Yurts, well what can I say apart from WOW!!! We stayed in “Zelda” and she was beautiful. Fresh flowers and a generous decanter of Sherry which came highly recommended from Mrs Mills was waiting for us. At night we had solar powered lights inside along side tea lights inside and out which made it even more magical. Very quirky and individual and a lovely hot tub which was piping hot and ready to use as soon as we arrived.. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left we were catered for. Our own bathroom, own fridge in the communal area, tea coffee and hot chocolate and afternoon treats from Mrs Mills every afternoon which was exciting to see what she had left for us. Our breakfast hamper was delivered to us on the first morning which kept us going over the two days, fresh eggs delicious bacon, over night oats, jam, butter, ketchup and a delicious sourdough loaf, fresh croissants and tea and coffee. It was all tasty and beautifully presented. We were lucky enough with beautiful weather which always helps with any holiday. Can not recommend this magical venue enough. If you want peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings then Mrs Mills is the place for you.

Thank you Mrs Mills

We knew from looking at photos and reading previous reviews that Mrs Mills Yurts was going to be special, but our 4 days here have far surpassed our expectations.

The site itself is set in beautiful grounds, the yurts are comfortable and brilliantly equipped (we ended up leaving so much in the car as it was already provided) and the family owners are lovely. It was perfect for our 6 and 3 year old, with lovely safe grounds for them to run in, games to borrow from the snug, and a trampoline and climbing frame in the family's own garden which they are happy for them to play on.

Perfect for those who love being in the outdoors (there's a firepit for outdoor cooking and it's well equipped for alfresco dining) but also for those who wouldn't usually go for a camping trip (there's a separate shared kitchen and comfy extras like dressing gown and slippers). Added details such as freshly baked cakes delivered every afternoon, breakfast hamper on the first morning and a decanter of sherry left in the yurt really add to the experience. The wood-fired hot tub is fantastic.

We have already booked for next summer and can't wait to return.

Mrs Mills provides a beautiful setting in which to relax, recharge, take stock and be filled with awe and wonder and the joys of nature. To be able to lie in a very comfortable bed, warm and cosy, whilst watching through the open door of the yurt, the blue sky and sunlight filter through the spring green leaves of a nearby tree was a delight. Mrs Mills goes out of her way to ensure that the yurts are homely and that guests have every possibly amenity. The breakfast provided is more than ample, consisting of good tasty local produce. A few miles from our home town of Gloucester the location was ideal for a 'staycation' - all the pleasure of getting away without traffic jams and a tiring journey. We enjoyed lovely walks (necessary to work off the huge breakfast) followed by a relaxing wallow in the hot tub.
A very welcoming, relaxing and restorative place to stay. Highly recommended!

Had an amazing 3 night stay in Zelda, which was a beautiful, spacious and cosy yurt with a huge wood fired hot tub. There was nothing to fault at all. Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome with cake & Prosecco to the complementary decanter of sherry (turns out we like sherry!), then the hot tub being ready for us on arrival, and not to forget the breakfast hamper which lasted us the whole stay. The warm fresh baked bread was just the best! We recommend buying the bbq box as well, which was so much food it lasted us 2 bbqs, supplemented breakfast & we had sausage sandwiches for lunch! We also appreciated the proper loos and hot shower; each yurt has its own private bathroom which is a nice touch. Walking in the area is fabulous & we visited Symonds Yat which is a short drive away. We loved Mrs Mills Yurts and will be back for sure!

WOW!!! I stayed in Tanaduke and I cannot begin to describe my stay here. I took my boyfriend for his 22nd birthday and it was incredible. Beautiful and unbelievably relaxing! Mrs Mills found the perfect balance of being extremely attentive and giving us our privacy. The breakfast was incredible: the sourdough was warm and there was more than enough to last us our 2 mornings. The yurt means you experience the best of camping without the wet and cold tend and is way more special than a sterile hotel. The hot tub was ready for us when we arrived and the fires made it cozy and extremely pleasant. I’m already planning to come back. There is always something to find a problem with or feel underwhelmed by and I genuinely cannot say I found one on this holiday.

This was my second visit to Mrs Mills- such a lovely set up, comfortable well equipped yurts, clean toilets and showers beautiful scenery and so lovely to see the hens roaming around!
The breakfast hampers were delicious, full of local produce. Mrs Mills was very warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome. So lovely to see what yummy treats awaited us at tea time 😋
The perfect place to spend time with the family for my big birthday celebration.

We were 2 adults and 2 children and we managed to fit into one of Mrs Mills lovely yurts. I highly recommend this experience and with some Changes due to covid that worked in our favour like having your own bathroom. All the yurts are beautiful and all in a lovely setting.
Surrounded by a great walk to the top of May hill. You are also no more than 30min drive to most Forest of Dean attractions.
Being big foodies we loved the breakfast hamper and seeing what lovely treats Mrs Mills put out. (Fresh fruit was our own in the photo)
Our Yurt has a hot tub which was sadly out of action but I can image it would be beautiful day out on a sunny evening.

We were celebrating my sister's 30th birthday with the family and we honestly couldn't have dreamed up a more perfect place for us. Authentic yurts, wood burners, outdoor space, beautiful views, open fires, wood heated hot tubs, homemade cakes, and incredibly warm hospitality. I also loved how beautifully appointed everything is – all in the style of art deco – 1920s.

We hired all 4 Yurts for a long weekend which worked perfectly with the mix of generations ( including 3 children under 4 and a dog.)
Nicola was a fantastic host and was so helpful and welcoming. The breakfast hamper was delicious, and she popped into the kitchen every afternoon to say hi and to drop off homemade cakes.
We had a rather wet day on the Saturday, but it didn't matter at all, because we had hired for a lady from Zen Pamper to come and do some treatments in one of the yurts ( highly recommend!) and we stocked up the wood burners and enjoyed the hot tubs in the rain! Nicola also lent us some indoor space to have our evening meal together as it was so wet, which was above and beyond and hugely appreciated.
The children's favourite things were visiting the pygmy goats and ducks which are on the farm, toasting marshmallows on the campfire, and generally just having freedom to run around outside.
We went for a walk to May Hill and had a lovely meal at the Farmer's Boy pub- just down the road. Great for families as they have a play area and children's menu.

We can't wait to come back for another weekend! It's all the best bits of camping with the luxury of a boutique guest house.

Had a lovely 2 day break at the yurts. They were amazing and the perfect size for a couple. Breakfast hamper was lovely and the accessibility to the private shower room and communal kitchen was ideal. Perfect break away for couples seeking a quiet getaway with luxuries like a hot tub mixed in with campfire. Thank you for having us!!
