We spent 7 days at the hotel. We loved it and could have stayed another 7 days. The staff were superb and professional and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast and lunch was excellent. Pool area is beautiful - there are two pools to choose from. The rooms are beautifully done with all amenities. It’s walking distance to shops and restaurants as well as the promenade. We highly recommend it and look forward to coming back.

Quality location with great staff. The rooms were clean and well spaced out. The hotel manager Emmy was exceptional and was able to assist us with everything. Beautiful gardens with 2 pools. The food menu was simple yet the food was good. I would definitely stay here again.

The Clarendon is located in a quiet and safe suburban area, and is only a host walking distance to restaurants and shops. On arrival we were greeted by Abbie who had kept the breakfast buffet open in case we needed it, A really nice thought. Our room was bright, airy, and had a balcony which overlooked the gardens and swimming pool, and had views of the coast and the sea. During our stay we received valuable advice on activities and destinations and NIcki was most helpful making tour and restarant bookings on our behalf. A great venue for a visit to Cape Town which we wholeheartedly recommend/

Very friendly and helpful hotel always willing to check things before being asked eg waiting time for Table Mountain, then suggesting an alternative Signal Mountain . Drove there in time to see the paragliders go off the top.Breakfast excellent and the afternoon tea and cake is a treat . Rooms large and light my only suggestion would be to add a comfy chair.

We really enjoyed our stay in Cape Town. There’s so much to do (even in winter) that you generally do not spend a lot of time in your hotel, but the rooms at the Clarendon are spacious and comfortable if you choose to do so. For warmer months there are 2 swimming pools. Nice breakfast and helpful staff. Fresnaye is a friendly area with beaches and some shops. We had dinner in different restaurants around town and used Uber for our evening trips. Tip: book a surf lesson in Muizenberg
