Very good love the area as well. Close to everything you will need like garage, shops and obviously the beach ❤️. If you can just make sure there's always a bubble bath in each room by mistake we dint have one 🙈🙈🙈🙈.
Otherwise we were reall happy 💪💪.

A room for two adults were booked online, however when we arrived a backpackers room was allocated for us, after showing Joshua your front desk person, the booking on the phone. Joshua said that they were fully booked and could only give the backpackers room. After several calls for Alex your technician to assist us with the TV, he did not pictch.

We spent 4 nights at the hotel in one of the upstairs rooms. The location was very central and a great location in terms of exploring Cape Town and the surrounding areas. Very close to the shops and with parking available most of the time. The room was good and had a very nice shared balcony with mountain and sea views. The bed and pillows were not comfortable and some of the fixtures needed maintenance in the bathroom. Otherwise the mini fridge, aircon and smart TV were fantastic! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and they had a well stocked bar downstairs. The breakfast was good and the hotel pool and garden was fantastic. A great stay overall!

This "4 star" boutique hotel is not graded by the tourism board (by the way). We have paid almost R3,000.00 for a 2 bedroom apartment for 1 night which did not even include breakfast.

These “apartments” are not even featured on the website?? This is false advertising by the images from your website and the accommodation provided to us is definitely not suitable for guests.
The apartment conditions are shocking with closet and cupboard doors missing, dirty sinks and showers, big stains on carpets, dirty mugs in cupboards, worn out / damaged furniture and scatter cushions!

A big fat rat ran over my son's foot on our way to our apartment through the hotel's premises.

We are utterly disgusted with the general manager and owner's lack of response on complaints discussed in person and emails sent.

Don't be fooled by the pictures, the adverts or the description of this hotel. It has seriously deteriorated since my last stay there. The prices are cheap, because the place has become cheap
They have converted some of the hotel into a backpackers, which has caused the hotel stay to be a very bad experience.
There were no light bulbs in the lamps in the room, as apparently these go missing, so they came to fit them after we checked in.
The rooms are tiny, clearly downsized from what they were. The place has become noisy, uncomfortable, and it was generally a very bad experience.

Grande boutique hotel is misleading people it is not a 4 star hotel, it's more of a bed and breakfast.
1. The cleaning staff has attitude 1 lady knocked in our room and literally told us that if we don't leave, she will not clean our room and we asked for 30 minutes to get ready when we came back the room was not cleaned. She greeted us for the rest of our stay
2. All their irons are messed up. Their better iron burnt my shirt while I was ironing. If you chose to go here have your own iron
3. One of their cleaning staff broke a handle in my bag and when I tried to have the issue fixed they told me that they can't do anything about it because the lady that broke it never showed up for work and the boss wanted a meeting with me and that lady so now I have to get a new travelling back but I was in a 4 star hotel. Crazy!
4. They serve the same breakfast every day only 2 options. I asked for the fruit bowl and it was half Apple, strawberry and a quarter of a mango. That was R50 extra
5. The petit garden suite has soo many cockroaches the sea view rooms are better
Olga and Stanley try but I was unhappy with Stanley because he didn't prioritise my bag issue. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place if you looking for a hotel or you having a longer stay. It's not bad if you looking for a b&b but definitely not a hotel 🙁

Terribe experience, I booked the hotel almost three months before and for my surprise at my check-in (3PM) my room had been sold to somebody else given all hotels in the city were full. The manager, Peter, allocated my wife and I in the very small room, which didnt have a key, was extremely dirty and the bathroom flooded. He promised us to give some courtesies which has never happened and give us our original room in the following day (we were going to stay for three nights). In the following day our original room had been sold to somebody else and just in the last night we were able to get the room we had paid for.
He agreed to reimburse us the amount we had paid, however this has never happened, Peter is a big liar, we even asked if the hotel would exchange ZAR to USD and he said yes, but he would need to go to an exchange house and I found out later that Peter told us a different exchange rate that had actually been.
Not to mention the breakfast is terrible, the rooms dirty and the pool very disgusting!!

Response from GrandeKloof, General Manager at Grande Kloof Boutique Hotel
Responded 17 Jan 2020
Good Morning Mr Gustavo, Firstly, I would like to apologies for your terrible stay at Grand Kloof Boutique Hotel. I was not aware of this until the following day when we met at reception and you brought all this to light! To be honest, I was completely shocked by this as this is not standard practice at Grande Kloof Boutique Hotel. We have since then investigated the issues and asked our staff that was responsible to please look for other employment as we don’t tolerate such negligence when coming to our guest’s comfort. I reacted on the spot by offering you a complimentary night stay that included breakfast that you gladly excepted, as for the terrible breakfast, I can only apologize that we did not meet your standards and the breakfast was not to your liking. Refund: Mr Gustavo I spoke to the team at Expedia a couple of times regarding this, if it was up to me, I would have done this when you were still at the hotel but unfortunately, we have policies and procedures to follow when it comes to our banking and refunds. I do not have access nor the authority to make such decisions when it comes to the Hotels Finances and have to wait on the owners to clear all this. Again, I am truly sorry for this but it’s out of my hands and I am only allowed to do so much. I did say that we will look at your refund but unfortunately, I don’t have access to Grande Kloof's Bank accounts and have to get approval from our owner who is currently traveling and would only be available mid to end January to make that decision. Regarding the money you asked us to exchange, if you could recall on check in, we required a R500 damages deposit and we kept only R400 that was fully refunded to you in cash the way it was taken on checkout. At no time have any of the staff nor myself lied to you as it stands, we are still waiting for approval on this. Thank you again for your comments and bringing your dissatisfaction to light. We do appreciate any and all comments as we can’t fix and better the Hotel services when aware of what’s transpired and what we lacked in. Again I apologize profusely and will get back to you when I have heard from our Head Office. . Peter John General Manager

The hotel is a disaster. The pictures on the website are old. The hotel is run down and shabby. We were assured of a baby bed, which we did not get. There were numerous cockroaches in the room, and when we complained, we were assured that they would take care of it. After we came back from dinner there were dozens of cockroaches about 10cm size in the room. Completely disgusted, we went straight out of the room, where rats ran over our feet.
You don't even have to talk about the pool ...

The staff was friendly at first, but upon departure we were assured of a taxi ride to the airport as an “excuse”. Once there, the taxi driver said that the hotel was not paying the amount. Numerous attempts by us and the taxi center to call the hotel followed, but they were simply ignored.
Incomprehensible! I've definitely never seen anything like it. A horror!

Very disappointing. Booked from the UK using the website and reviews as our guide. Very basic room, Seaview was somewhat of a stretched description - a glimpse of the sea through the roofs. Balcony outside was communal so felt vulnerable from the start. The door had to be kept shut and locked. There was AC but load shedding (power cuts) prevented this from working. Shower area adequate but dangerous trip hazard from the shower base. Fridge not working, no hairdryer, no bottled water. Noisy from road noise. Breakfast poor, cold and coffee not included in the price! We were told there was a choice between coffee and orange juice. Ordered espresso and cappuccino - lukewarm flavoured water arrived for both. Windows needed cleaning and pool was so dirty we didn't swim.
