A beautiful, family run hostel - good for individual or group accommodation with great facilities for anyone - and specifically divers and snorkellers. Other activities include Village Bicycle tours, tours to hot springs, waterfalls, kawa Ijen (volcano...) etc. . Its perfect for dive groups, as well as travelers. We have a large pool and comfortable gardens, in the middle of rural Bali; Unlike most other homestays near here, sleep is peaceful, as we are far enough from the centre of the village with Mosques, chicken farms and barking dogs.

I really enjoyed my break at the Banana Leaf Hostel last summer. The staff and hosts were so hospital and attentive, I really got along with them very fast. Since I was alone they really took the time to get to know me and my interests, their customer service was impeccable! There is a lot of nature-y things to do in the area so be prepared to stay for several days. The food was great as well - though not the cheapest in the area, it was worth the money. They even had pitcher of water in the room, which was a huge plus. I would definitely recommend the stay!

I stayed here as a solo traveler in the dorm room. The hotel only had its soft-opening march '17, if I understood correctly, so it's pretty new. + Nice ambience, stylish, everything is new + Cleanliness! + Great to relax, unwind, lounge by the pool + For families and friends, old & young + Dorm room is SPACIOUS - biggest I've ever seen (seen about 20 hostels worldwide) - There was only 1 other backpacker when I was there - Road to this place is VERY bumpy (I luckily had no trouble finding it, I heard others did)

I spent two nights at Banana Leaf in the dorm room, which I had all to myself. The staff are amazing, very polite and helpful and the food is fantastic. Banana Leaf is very new and has a great swimming pool with 3m deep end, the garden is beautiful and is watered with recycled waste water from the hostel. The manager told me about the conservation efforts in the area which was great to learn about. They can book your trip to Menjangan island to make it easy. I loved it here and really recommend Banana Leaf!

Just popped in for some food and dinner and so surprised, should have stayed here! Food was amazing, cocktails also great. Staff were so inviting even offering us a dip in their pool on the hot day! Price wise/quality compared to the surrounding area was unbeatable in our stay in north west Bali.

Most amazing and friendly hosts around Menjangan, the cheapest prices in the area for food and drinks (also fantastic and extensive menu) beautiful pool, close to the beach (ask the host about the nature conservation) and most of all ECO FRIENDLY! Would definitely recommend checking this place out!
