Overall, we had a great experience; staff were friendly, and the amenities were great. The little cottage was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate our anniversary weekend nestled among the beautiful mountains. Would 100% recommend booking your next getaway with Kleinrivier mountain escapes!

Property's Favourite Review
Kleinrivier Mountain Escapes is a pristine mountain wilderness area with exceptional biodiversity. It's a nature lover's paradise with varied hiking trails traversing fynbos, thicket and forest areas. Great mountain scenery with river kloofs and rock pools. Great birding and a brilliant area for botanising. Highly recommend all accommodation options. A place to visit often

We had an awesome time and really enjoyed the farm and hikes. The trails are easily lost due to the animal foot paths. Only thing from my side is that the gas geyser was temperamental and one had to run outside while showering to adjust every time.

Very beautiful and peaceful area with lots of hiking trails. The lapa at the campsite was very nice and loved the view from the bathroom. The only negative thing was that we were told that wood would be supplied for the donkey to heat water for the shower. There was only enough wood for 1 day for us to heat the water and we were there for 3 nights.

What a lovely stay at Black Eagle Tented Camps. Beautiful and peaceful location. Just a few things that can be improved. Not all the bathrooms had hand soap. Not enough toilet paper for 8 people. A light is needed at the far passage towards last tented camp. Mice ate through our rolls and to be made aware of things that are faulty like the room doors that don't lock and canvas ropes that are snapped. Overall a lovely stay, beautiful routes to explore nature and so many memories made. Thank you

What a beautiful getaway place just outside of Uitenhage. Who would have thought that just outside the usle and bustle is such an extraordinary place. Just be careful for the hiking trials. Before you know it you are caught stuck on two gorge trail and its 6hours later. But it was still so much fun and we have the best storiesbto tell. Can't wait to see this place again

Had a lovely out of the rat race time in a rustic and close to nature setting. Were well received and then left alone which made the rip all the more pleasurable. Visit to the rock pool up the gorge is a must but it was a bit taxing for some of our party. This part of the trail could be made more suitable and safer.

This is the most wonderful getaway that anyone could do. It is so close to Port Elizabeth and yet you feel that you are a million miles away. The only downside is, if you are not reasonable fit, you might battle a bit. The Black Eagle tented camp is a fair walk from the car park, so carrying your supplies takes some effort. The walks and hikes also are not for the faint hearted. But once you are there, it is a piece of heaven.
