The hotel is a beautiful mansion. Everything was very clean and set up nicely. The staff was friendly and made you feel welcome. The breakfast was good, but could have been more diverse if you stay there longer than a few days.
We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed our stay, although I would say it is overpriced for what it is. Positive: - it is quiet - Eva, who works here, is really lovely and gives great tips - the breakfast is quote good, even though it is almost the same every day - the bed is comfortable Not so positive: - everything is a little dated, the shower head holder is out of old plastic and you can't position it properly to shower - the lights in the room are first generation energy saving light bulbs. It takes several minutes until they get bright. Even with the lights on you literally stand in the dark - the TV has a very limited number of channels, the picture is not very good and it produces quite loud static noise - there are no complimentary soap and shampoo - you have to pay €1.50 extra per day to use an ancient safe! Why is that not included??? It is 2017? If you see the safe you wouldn't pay for that... - the breakfast is self-service and self-clean up, a bit youth hostel style Overall, I would say it is a bit overpriced for what it is and I think I would stay somewhere else next time. …
Amazing stay we had. Pretty rooms and location. It's surrounded by orange plantation . Very friendly staff and close to Benagil caves. Great outdoor seating with swimming pool. Breakfast could have been better. But yet! I would definitely revist.
This hotel is very near the beautiful Benagil Sea Caves. You can also visit Marinha beach which too is quite close. Both these are about 10 minutes drive from the hotel. The room was good although a bit dusty here and there. The bed was clean and the sheets tidy. There is a nice little swimming pool and the breakfast area too is quite small but very warming. There are several loquat and orange trees within the gardens and these really added to the very well kept and beautifully decorated outside areas. The common lounge is excellently decorated and very well maintained. I was amazed to see antique gramophone with a HMV record still on it. I am not sure if it was in a working condition. The breakfast was very simple nothing to shout about but filling. There was not a lot of choice but if you are not a fussy person I would still call it a Good breakfast. There is a very small minibar next to the pool. Good place if total peace is a prerequisite.…
Stay one week and could be really enjoy but , breakfast always the same , household unsatisfactory , parking is insufficient to all the cars,, Villa is nice and design too .. , Should review a few things at management level to offer a perfect stay !!
Stayed here for 3 nights before moving hotels to attend a wedding in Monchique. We loved it here, very quaint and relaxing, lovely well kept grounds and pool, we had a ground floor room with its own little veranda overlooking the garden, room was spacious, clean & the bed was enormous!! Lovely continental breakfasts with a difference everyday including freshly squeezed manadrin juice from their own trees yummy! In the evenings you can help yourself in the bar and write down what you have had! Staff are friendly especially Eva who really cant do enough for you, I asked for an iron and she offered to do it for me! The owner is always present, he walks about making sure everything is ship shape and always greets you. Don't worry if nervous about being understood, English is spoken. We arrived 2 hours early for check in so they hurried our room along while we had a drink by the pool and we were in within half an hour. Some things to be aware of especially if you are English and I know what we like! There is no tea making facilities in your room, this is common in Portugal, but there is a fridge. I wouldn't say it is suitable for young children as there isn't anything there for them apart from the pool but its perfect for a relaxing couples break. They do not do meals apart from a BBQ on Tuesdays. There are private houses around so you do get barking dogs at times but not constant, dogs are also common in Portugal! None of this would put me off going again tho :)…
