Hotel IKON was a great hotel to stay at in Phuket. We had 3 twin rooms, all were so clean and modern. The maid was so friendly and attentive, as were the reception staff who gave us so many great recommendations such as Freedom Beach which you must visit.

The free breakfast included is very good, there is a good range of western and Asian food. There are also a good range of restaurants next to the hotel.

Most reviews complain about the location but with the free shuttle to Karon Beach as well as tuk tuks being fun and cheap, this wasn’t a problem for us. We paid a good price at this hotel so even with paying extra for transport we still saved money.

The pool looked very nice but we never actually went. Most of the time it is shaded so not great for sunbathing if that’s what you want. There is also a gym and spa but we didn’t use that either.

Having been to Phuket on many occasions and having stayed at many parts and different hotels including the Al Antara, marriott, novitel, surin sun and hyatt Regency I was so pleasantly suprised with the Hotel Ikon. To the point where I will most certainly stay here for sure on my next visit. Very convenient and a nice walk to Karon beach, alternatively in the opposite direction you have kata beach which is just a slightly longer distance away. Kata beach and karon beach are both only 200 bht in a taxi or tuktuk. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, breakfast is great, western and asian catering. Nice pool and pool area. Rooms very clean with house keeping each day plus tea and coffee facilities and a fridge for your convenience. We checked into the hotel around 9 am as the flight got in early, check in is at 12 however the staff allowed us to check in as soon as the room was ready, we were also allowed to have breakfast for free whilst we waited. This hotel is such great value for money, very suprised at some of the more negative reviews which as a frequent traveller I found to be exaggerated and untrue. Thank you hotel ikon for a great stay!! I will.be back

The staff at Ikon were superb and made our stay. The breakfast buffet had variety and was good. The Hotel is on a busy road and there is no easy way to get to the beach without a 15 minute walk by a busy road or 200B taxi. Beach shuttle services were only four times a day in the morning so
Not always convenient. The pool is relaxing but very tight space around it and be careful leaving bags on the floor by sun loungers as they get easily wet from pool. Sea view rooms can see the sea but it is across car parks and buildings-not as Idealic as some photos suggest.

Dear 520abiilj, Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review of your stay with us. Your kind feedback is greatly appreciated. Apparently the hotel is on the local road and a 1.5 kilometer away from Karon Beach so we provide the shuttle service four times direct our guests to Karon beach. To stroll along the sidewalk need to aware of vehicles honestly Once again, Thank you for your review and sharing your experience with us on Trip advisor Warmest regards, Boonchai

I stayed at Hotel IKON for 5 nights with my fiancé, we are in our 30’s.

Hotel transportation was 1200 THB for the both of us and took about an hour and a half.

We had a nice, clean, modern room (#3403) with a large balcony overlooking the water. It was truly amazing to see the sunset from our room! However, to get to our room from the lobby.. we had to use 3 different elevators. The design of the hotel is chic and modern but having to switch between so many elevators was a fuss and hassle.

On our last day, they had kindly given us a late check-out at 2pm and upon arriving back to our hotel room at 1pm, our key card didn’t work. To avoid the long trek and switching elevators to get back to the lobby... we called the front desk for assistance and was told they’ll send someone up right away. We waited and called again and ended up waiting for 20 mins in total before someone showed up.

The breakfast buffet was just alright with limited options.

The pool is very small and doesn’t get much sun throughout the day — Prime time would be going in the morning or early afternoon. It’s also always very quiet and no one really goes into the pool, people mostly lay on the chairs to tan.

The front desk said it’s about a 15 mins walk to Karon Beach but we rented a motorbike and wouldn’t dare make the trek to the beach on foot.. its pretty far. (I say, about 25+ mins walking) And there’s no walkway so you’re mostly walking on the street.

There are tuk tuks available but just to get from the hotel to Kata night market (5 mins away), it cost us $450 THB round trip. We ended up renting a motorbike for $300THB/per day for the rest of our trip.

They do offer shuttles to Karon Beach at set times.

There are some restaurants nearby but the hotel itself is pretty far from the main roads for shopping and dining.

Dear 75vickyl, Thank you for your time spent sharing how your thoughts about your stay with us but very sorry for the inconvenience caused by the key card not working. We will look into the negative points for improvement. The pool sun is dependent on the season, there will be more sun in the pool normally on the end of February. Once again thank you very much for your stay with us. Warmest regards, Boonchai

We recently spent 4 nights in this hotel with a last minute reservation that was perfectly handled by efficient customer service. The hotel is not that far from Karon beach, just a 5 minute drive with a tuk tuk, that costs 200 baht. Breakfast was satisfying with smiling staff and the room nicely decorated with modern details. The pool is not that big but it is never crowded which was quite pleasant. Make sure to order the best mohito in Phuket! Definetely a worthy stay and a hotel to recommend.

we were 3 who stayed at Ikon Hotel Phuket for 4 nights. The best thing which really impressed me was its great architecture. congratulation to its owner for hiring such an architect. Cleanness matters when it comes to traveling to Thailand due to mosquitoes and rats, but this hotel is exceptionally clean. rooms are cleaned and organized every day. Staff are very kind and hospitable and treated their guests as their own family. Pool is also very clean. Breakfast is also acceptable. The only downside is its location which takes half an hour to Karon beach. Moreover we sent a few email to ask them to provide us with a room including a single and a double bed since we were 3 adults but nobody answered to our email and we faced a room with a double bed and a sofa bed. overall, we enjoyed staying at this hotel

Location is on the main road which gets a little busy during the afternoon, few minutes walk down towards town which is alive at night. Short taxi drive to to beach or you can walk yourself. we had the Ocean Premier Room with Free Mini Bar which they give you 2 beers in the fridge and few sodas, not worth to get the bar option as its a waist but the balcony was nice and big. there is a 2 restaurants on site and a pool so you can enjoy that as well. Breakfast was good and everyone can find something without a problem. Enjoy !

The hotel is very decent and basic amenities if you do not stay in the surrounding hotel area. Basic comfort from the bed and good water shower pressure. The service is very lame, not accommodative even the hotel is 'not full'. We arrived at 1040am, we knew standard check in is 2pm, we left the luggage and walk around, we came back at 1.40pm and was still said the room was not ready. It is the way how the communication is being delivered, perhaps guide the guest the room is still not ready, you can use the facilities or something, but none. Room were not given perhaps till 2.30pm which again is fine. .rule is check out is 12pm, we are having the flight at 8pm, we knew we cannot be demanding and unreasonable requesting for late check for free till 4pm, we were requesting for 2pm, got it for 1pm. Okay we noted it is up to the hotel perrogotive as well, we appreciate all the support given. The bottom line is, it is not what you can do but how you deliver the message

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. There is a breakfast included option when booking and this was helpful each morning. They stock your room daily with Beer, pop, snacks, and water.
Cons: Location! It’s off a busy street that doesn’t have sidewalks. It’s a shuttle ride to the beach. I would have preferred to be closer and within walking distance to the beach. The pool is a chlorinated small pool with limited lounge chairs. There are three buildings (A, B and C). C has the best views but means 3 different elevators to get to your room.
Not what you picture when you think of a resort!

The hotel is well designed, has great holiday vibes and pretty decent breakfast (imagine eggs, sausages, ham, fruits, bread and some porridge/noodles). The only con is the location is not near to any key attractions and to move between buildings, theres quite a bit of stairs which makes it hard for u if u are.moving around with bags of stuff.

Hi Sukravath, I have spent 3.5 nights in this hotel and I can answers with my personal honest opinion as follow 1. The nearest beach is Karon beach, its quite clean and not that much crowded for me. but the wave on this beach is quite strong and high. The hotel location this a bit far from the beach but hotel provide a shuttle bus as schedule. You can take Smart Bus to Jungceylon mall, Its cost only 50THB per person. Googling "Phuket Smart bus" to see the schedule. 2. Variety restaurant around Karon street is available there but if you are looking for kind of local markets. There are others interesting walking street (such Patong, Kata) 3. The room of this hotel is clean and stylish and they also provide a bidet as well. 4. Average of Breakfast menue provided here. 5. The staff here is super cool and helpful. Tips : - There are many building here. If you prefer a pool view , please request Tower B. - Really Big room even it is a first categories. - There are so quite around hotel. - If you decided to walk to the night market or beach - Be carful the car, They drive super fast. Enjoy your holidays.
