What a wonderful slice of paradise tucked away in the Magalies..... If you need a quiet getaway just a short trip from Joburg, this is the place to go. Both secluded and peaceful, it exudes old world charm and comfort. There is wonderful attention to detail, and the meals are carefully planned according to special dietary needs. Owner John saw to our every request with grace and aplomb, affording us a beautiful and unforgettable weekend away.

We went to quiet mountain for our anniversary and were extremely satisfied with our stay. The food was amazing, service was excellent, the hostess who was filling in for Uncle John was amazing , she went out of her way to make us feel at home and even gave us a piece of the most divine sticky toffee pudding to take home. We would highly recommend a getaway to Quiet Mountain x Trevor and Charly

My wife booked us for a weekend at Quiet Mountain as an antidote for a hectic few weeks. Spot on choice, possibly her best ever! The location is perfect - the only noises to be heard are those of birds and the breeze - and the view is beautiful. We brought our MTBs with us so we went for some nice rides as well on the undulating unmade roads around...We had a nice walk around the Estate. So John the co-owner acts as front of house and he is an interesting character for sure. Sometimes caustic wit can offend some but I enjoyed it...Most importantly, he was attentive at all times as were his superbly trained and happy staff.... Food wise it was excellent and I would definitely have put on a few kilos without the exercise....Full English breakfast, freshly cooked at 9am (when

We keep going back to Quiet Mountain and usually have suite no. 7. John and Terence run an amazing country house and the food never disappoints. The service is outstanding and it is certainly a place to relax either in your own accommodation or in the lounge, library or next to the pool, but there are also lovely walks. They have a great choice of wines and you could not better the price anywhere. If you haven't been you are missing out on an experience. Quiet Mountain is an adult retreat.

Wow! This place is beautiful inside & out. When i walked through the little entrance gate the first thing that came into my mind was 'the secret garden' I'm not going to give too much away as I feel it would spoil the overall effect of the place. All the food is homemade & sourced from the proprietors own gardens & livestock. Exceptional standard. If your travelling in this region it's ' a must visit' even if it's only for one night! Please note this accommodation is adults only.
