The individual cottage-style self catering units have an en-suite bathroom and offer a small kitchenette, a wall fan, a fireplace, bar fridge, and a cover parking bay for 1 vehicle. All units offer privacy and are located about 50 m away from each other. Each unit has a patio or outside area and a braai/barbecue facility Votadini Country Cottages is an ideal base to explore Maropeng, the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site and the Sterkfontein Caves. Other activities in the surrounding area include hot air ballooning and cheese tasting. The Aerial Cableway Hartbeespoort is within 40 minutes' drive and Lanseria Airport is only 55 km away.

We had a great stay at Votadini Cottages over Easter 2022. We were looking for a peaceful getaway with our two dogs and we absolutely loved it. The cottage was neat and clean and spacious enough for our needs. Our dogs were comfortable too and enjoyed zooting about in the fenced off area. There is plenty of space to walk about and the cottages are spaced well apart, so you do not even realise that there are other people staying on the property. It is also tick free, which gives great peace of mind. There is so much to do in the area, we went hiking and cycling and to local restaurants. The cottage does have a fully equipped kitchen which is perfectly adequate for two people for a weekend. The hosts are super and really made sure that we were comfortable throughout our stay.

The hosts Jan and Adriaan were magnificent in welcoming and hosting us! In the end, it's the "little big things" that drive service excellence. The cottage is superbly maintained both on the inside and in the surroundings. Out time spent there was just what the "doctor ordered".

We arrived on the Friday and were warmly greeted by Adriaan. He explained all we needed to know. Room was neat and beautiful. Fully catered kitchen area and braai area. Nice bathroom. Very private. We truly enjoyed our stay at Votadini Country Cottages! We booked as a quick long weekend couples getaway with our dog and we were really impressed with everything, from the service, to the accommodation, to how pet friendly it was! This place is truly underrated, and the website and photos don't do it any justice. The room was modern, clean, and had everything a couple could need! You definitely get value for what you pay! The host was amazing, professional, attentive, and super-friendly! He always came by to offer information about the area, what the accommodation had to offer, and to make sure we were comfortable! He truly made the experience go from great to amazing! The accommodation was also extremely pet friendly! Our dog was encouraged to run around and play, and the cottage we stayed in had a newly installed pet-friendly fence around the front patio, which gave us a lot of comfort in the evenings and at night knowing our dog was safe and sound. The only small room for improvement was the geyser in cottage. It didn't seem to work well and we could only shower for 2 minutes before the water got cold. It was middle of winter but we did expect the hot water to last a little longer. Otherwise, we will definitely go back, as the place was great, service was amazing, and there is a lot to do in the area for a quick weekend getaway with pets! Thank you for the amazing stay!…

For a family of five with two dogs tagging along, the 4-bedroomed Votadini Rock Cottage was the perfect fit for out weekend getaway. Votadini is one of those places that surprises because it some-how manages to deliver more than what it promises, which is always a good thing. Howver, it is the hosts that lift this place out of the ordinary, making for a great stay.

We decided to get away for the weekend and we found this place. The hosts were super friendly and were really helpful with everything. Check in and check out was a seamless process. We arrived with Lindor ball chocolates on the beds (a very nice touch). The cottage had enough space (queen size bed, lounge area and kitchen with a small table, and a large Walk-In shower... yes that is amazing) - this was House Martin. It was extremely hot this weekend, and the cottage was hot although fans were supplied (aircons might be the way to go in future). Although we didn't have a need to use it, there is a braai facility and an indoor fireplace for the winter months. We did try out the pool area, and this was really nice, small enough that the water warms up but large enough that you have space to swim. For those that are looking for a tv... this place does not supply it, but they encourage you to have a downtime and read and explore more. So remember to bring a book or some games. I would definitely recommend this place and would probably go back sometime! Thank you for a great experience.…

We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. Its was of the highest standard that you can think of and all the extras and the small things that you will expect from a 4/5 start hotel was amazing. Both the hosts were very helpful and assist where needed. This place is definitely a GEM that need to be discovered. Nature is absolutely beautiful and it was definitely the most beautiful sunrise that I have ever seen. Not even to talk about the home made bread that were provided to us. We will definitely be back.
