#2 of 5 B&Bs / Inns in Nether Stowey
We run the sort of guesthouse that we would want to stay at. That's why we cook good simple food, buy locally and have our own microbrewery. We are relaxed, un-stuffy and welcome dogs. A great place for walking, mountain biking, sightseeing and, above all, relaxing. So, turn off the Blackberry and have a good time.

Excellent value for money. Two nights' B and B last week. Able to park the motorcycles off road behind closed doors ie they were secure. Hosts were warm and friendly as was Jasper, their 10-month old lab donning a cheerful yellow bandana around its shoulders. The room was spacious and clean: perfectly adequate. I had a full English for breakfast the first morning that I was there which included the biggest sausage (locally sourced, surely) that I have ever encountered. Fresh coffee too. The bread for toast was home-made and served one slice at a time, so if one wanted more one only need ask. The road outside was quiet and a couple of pubs in the village were within a few minutes walk although only one of them served food and it was better to book a table in advance to avoid any disappointment.

Stayed for 1 night as part of a motorcycle tour of the South West. Absolutely brilliant stay, owners so welcoming and accommodating. Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Had an evening meal snd breakfast, vegan diet catered for and the food was all delicious. Fantastic secure parking for the bikes, behind the premises through massive gates so bikes very safe. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Having a fuss with Jasper the young Labrador was the icing on the cake, he’s gorgeous, 😁

We are very pleased to welcome bikers with our gated parking. Practicing our vegan repertoire was fun. Hope to see you again soon.

We had a lovely stay and particularly enjoyed the delicious (very) local food and drink, some of which is produced on-site. The location of the Old Cider House is ideal for easy access to great walking on the Quantocks. We visited during a period where some coronavirus restrictions were in place, so didn't try the local pubs, but we'd recommend having at least one meal at the Old Cider House. Lynne and Ian were very accommodating and were always on hand to ask if we had everything we needed.

The B&B was a very lovely base for a walking holiday. The owners were very friendly and I really appreciated the extra measures that they have put in to be as Covid-secure as is feasible to be. I would highly recommend a stay.
