On my recent trip to Namibia we stayed over at the Springbok Caravan Park and overall we had a very enjoyable experience. At first, I have to admit, the entrance seemed a bit weird, but don't let that fool you – the park itself is pretty good and we always felt safe and comfortable. The camping sites are big enough and are spaced out just right, giving you some moving room and privacy from the other campers. What's nice is that they've got trees spread around with at least one found at almost each site, and although some of them aren't that big, they do provide a bit of shade which is a lifesaver when the sun's blazing. Each site has its own "braai" (BBQ) area and the natural ambiance of the park added to the charm of the camping experience. The ablution facilities and kitchen area are very well-maintained, clean and accessible for most of the camping sites. Even though it was a bit cold and windy during our visit, they've got a pool ready for those hot Springbok days too. One important thing to note is that Springbok Caravan Park is exceptionally popular during the flower season (August - September). If you plan to visit during this time, make sure to book well in advance to secure a spot. In conclusion, despite the initially peculiar entrance, Springbok Caravan Park offers a relaxed camping experience. With nice camping sites and high quality facilities, it's a great choice for those looking to enjoy nature in comfort while in the Springbok area.

Positives:
has clean pool (fenced), well maintained grounds, grass, clean toilets and showers, friendly staff, huts for hire if you'd rather not camp, and is 5 minutes drive from the centre of Sprinbok. Also has a laundry, scullery room, shaded seating areas and electricity and water at all campsites. Is reasonably priced. Beautiful views of the rocky hills all around.

Negative:
Is close to a hill on the N7, so the noise of trucks passing can be a nuisance at times.

I've stayed here many times and not had to camp in the more dusty higher campsites. Plenty of grassy ones around the pool and ablution blocks.

We have styed at this caravan many different times, overnighting from Namibia. It is one of our favourites because it is clean and simple and the people are friendly. Our only dislike is the proximity to the abattoir which stinks when the wind blows from the west and often you can hear the animals dropping. Regardless we will probably be back many more times.

Perfect for an overnight stop on the way to the Richtersveld or Kleinzee etc. We spent a night here each of the 3 times we traveled through Springbok whilst touring the region. Friendly service, reasonable rates, spotless ablutions with piping hot water, a clean swimming pool, stands with grass and shade and a very convenient laundromat! Not fancy, but highly recommended.

I was at the caravan park during March 2015. It was the cheapest of 7 parks I stayed at: Clean, friendly staff and a great setting. Best overall campsite. Ablutions are 8/10. Patrons are genuine travelers, so no permanent residents!

We stopped here on our way to Upington after a long day of travel - the place was clean and quiet and had very convenient amenities for a couple that doesn't need much luxury. We were there during low season so we had the place to ourselves. Great star gazing.

Springbok Caravan Park is a great place to stop over if you are driving from Cape Town to Namibia. There are plenty of sites, the ablutions are clean and no matter the time of night you arrive you are always greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome.

Stop here for the night. Nice patch of grass to step up my tent. Shower and toilets seem ok. Little pool available also.

Great scenery.. except for the noise from the N7.. but it's not too bad..

Oh yes.. make sure you have mossie spray! Some big suckers!

Good start to Namibian adventure!

we stayed in August 2016, we arrived about 7pm and left at 6am.
There are about five small rondavel's with a parking space and a braii inside the rondavel are two beds a small table and a cupboard with kettle and utensils, all very basic. However it was R300 for a night for two! it was clean, the ablution block and attached kitchen were clean, and the kitchen had a fridge/freezer a cooker and some pans. I would definitely stay there if like me you are overnighting on your ways through, maybe not for staying a few days. the things that could lift the whole experience No. 1 the sheets on the beds were mismatched browns, grey and greens, having a single pale colour or white, would look so much better. I would also offer towels (as an additional). we had to carry one in a case to cape town so we'd have it.
all in all value for money.

Not the best place to stay as it lack shade and grass. The N7 nearby is noisy and ablution showers needs something to place your vanity case on to prevent it getting wet. Staff are friendly and helpful.
