At Reception we were greeted with a young lady that was very businesslike - It was like she wanted to finish our check in as quickly as possible. We found it very cold. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant.

As it was still quite cold, we had electric blankets which helped a lot. Excellent three course dinner, good breakfast. The room was heated by a fireplace for dinner. No Wi-Fi in the rooms, only in the lounge. Excellent location for trips to Skilpad Flower Park and Goegap Nature Reserve.

The unique thatched mountain suites are superbly located with spectacular views over mountain vistas. Dinner was absolutely superb with the best lam neck roast ever. Breakfast was a let down as it was plated in normal thick white catering plates and we expected more. Friendly well trained staff complete this perfect picture

The suites were just FANTASTIC, there's nothing to add, just read the title of my review. The lodge is great, service very good, dinner and breakfast delicious. I totally recommend it. I would have spent a whole week there just relaxing. A spectacular lodge in a relaxing place. BEAUTIFUL

Beautiful, well equipped. Attention to detail. Not far from Springbok, worth the drive! Friendly staff. Cannot comment on restaurant as we had a beautiful braai at our unit. Can definately reccomend Naries retreat.

Delightful in every way! We stayed in Mountain Suite 3, which has the most amazing views and is not overlooked. It was spacious and extremely comfortable. It was a pleasant km stroll to breakfast, although we drove on the second day due to high winds! The well marked trails, particularly in flower season, were spectacular. The Yellow Trail is not for the feint hearted but well worth scrambling down the rocks if you are reasonably fit. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Both breakfast and dinner were first class with gluten free options for my wife (advance notice had been given). Would recommend for a two or three night stay.

Naries has a beautiful old manor house as well as cottages in a picturesque setting. It however lacks a good manager/owner management. On our week-end there were several power outages (nationwide) and when asked why the generator could not be started the reply was that it was broken. So no television to watch the Springboks game no power for hair dryers etc. The meals were great, the staff friendly but still in training and could not even fulfil an easy drink order.(came back three times to make sure to what we ordered and even then it was wrong). The rooms were clean but in need of refurbishment as well as the huge , cold and unfriendly dining room. The rates are high for local tourists and did not add up to what we experienced at a hotel that is suppose to be four star. I got the impression that the owners who live in Cape Town has no personal interest in the hotel or how it is being managed or how it looks and is using it to generate a huge income over the flower season. We never saw a manager(apparently off for the week-end) and although the staff did their best it does not justify the fact that we did not receive what we were expecting. The rates for the cottages were R 6 000 per night?! …

We gave stayed at this hotel a number of times during the flower season. 5* staff. Exceptionally friendly and well trained. 4* rooms - basic rooms but nice a spacious. Only instant coffee. 5* food - our soup, steak and desert were all done to perfection. Good breakfast. 5* very nice sundowner enclosed viewing point with a good selection of drinks. Don't miss it! 5* for the staff that helped us change the wheel of our rental car after discovering we had a flat tyre.
