We stayed at Dusk to Dawn for two nights whilst in the area for business. What a lovely lovely place to stay! The location is beautiful with lush gardens and a working farm (complete with alpacas!). The room was spotless and exceptionally comfortable with a view over a small dam - so we could have a cup of coffee in bed and bird watch in the mornings. The breakfasts were great - a good selection and really tasty! But what really made our stay special was how welcoming and warm the hosts were. Definitely a place to recommend.

We stopped over on the way to Kruger from Durban at Dusk to Dawn and we stayed in one of executive chalets (we were upgraded).
The chalet was clean and spacious - with a mezzanine level upstairs which was great for the kids - and equipped with everything we needed to make dinner. Every detail was well thought out and it was very comfortable.
We bought ready-made frozen meals from deli at reception which were delicious and the brekkie the next morning was incredible.
The hosts were very accommodating and so kind to our daughters. They went and collected eggs the next morning for breakfast and fed the alpacas in the farmyard.
It was a wonderful stay and we would definitely recommend it.

My parents have stayed at Dusk to Dawn a few times, and recommended it to break up our journey from Kruger to Hillcrest. What a delightful experience. The farm is beautiful and you can walk around and look at the animals, including an up close and personal visit with the intriguing alpacas. Gudren was an amazing host and couldn’t do enough for us. Because of the size of our party, she kindly agreed to cater a fully cooked 3-course dinner for us which was served in one of the executive suites we were staying in. Dinner was a delicious 10 out of 10! Breakfast was also lovely, with a full continental breakfast available, plus a menu of various cooked breakfasts. I had scrambled egg with smoked salmon on toast with a tomato pesto. It was wonderful. The rooms are very large and charming, and fully equipped with fridge, microwave, coffee maker etc. The executive suites had full kitchens. Beautiful views, delicious food, lovely rooms and gracious hosts. A perfect place to stay.

We stayed here for one night, on our way from the coast back to the airport in Johannesburg. What an idyllic setting! Our hostess Gudrun made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Because the guesthouse is literally in the middle of nowhere, Gudrun has a fully stocked deli with delicious, homemade curries and stews, salads, desserts, etc. as well as a nice selection of wine! We chose our food and heated it up later in our self-catered bungalow. Delicious! We relaxed in the afternoon next to the pool and enjoyed the birds, ducks, alpaca and other farm animals. To our delight, Dixie, the resident jack russel terrier, kept us company and followed us around. We highly recommend this lovely oasis and would absolutely stay here again!

Dusk to Dawn is a really pleasant country place. It is evident from the moment you drive into the property that it offers a special experience and a lot has gone into making guests welcome. The farm offers amazing views, unique activities and very comfortable accommodation. No words can describe this place...you have to experience it.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was only for one night as a stopover from Kruger NP down to St. Lucia and it has been the perfect choice. We even got an upgrade and enjoyed the yummie food that we bought in their own DELI very much. Went for a run in the morning and have been accompanied by their two dogs - was cool

When traveling from Jo-berg to Durban, and if you drive around Eswatini, book this B&B! We first considered it as just a stop along the way, but it became an experience in itself! We loved our hostess, the scenery and the fresh (and affordable) food they provide. Fresh from their own or surrounding farms! We played mini-golf and went for a walk around the grounds. We loved that she paid extra attention to the fact that we are on our honeymoon. One of our best stays.

So sorry we only could stay for one night. This guesthouse is so much more than only a stopover.Next time we should stay at least a few more days and enjoy the hospitality of Gudrun and Johann. They do a really great effort to feel you comfy. And it's such a pleasure to enjoy all the life on there farm. A really small paradise to come home to.

we have been visiting this place for the first time (2 adult plus 1 child 9 y). We loved the wonderful garden and surrounding. The house, we slept in, was wonderfully decorated and we loved the view.
The breakfast was delicious and the food you could buy in the deli for take away or preparing in you room was really really good.
