We were upgraded from the hotel to the Oribi Cottage and it was lovely!!! We made use of the spa, which we will definitely be coming back for!!! Our jacuzzi in our cottage was just too hot, otherwise everything was excellent! The restaurant was not open sadly, but we will be back to try that out, looks beautiful!
We booked at the very last minute for Valentines and the spa was fully booked, the Skyfall restaurant was fully booked. Onwaba the assistant general manager was amazing. She accommodated us with a booking for the spa (which was relaxing and very clean) and even squeezed in a dinner reservation at Skyfall (the food was excellent) . I would highly recommend the romantic picnic, the food is delicious and the entire set up is relaxed and peaceful (this was the highlight for me). The hotel rooms are average in comparison to other hotels and need a make over but it was clean. we had an issue with the water on the first day and Onwaba gladly changed our room and even discounted the night for the inconvenience. The gardens are beautiful, peaceful and if you looking to get away and relax then i highly recommend this destination.…
What was supposed to be a romantic, quiet getaway, turned into something Unforgettable - as it was so BAD. Would rather stay at home than waste money here. Not much good I can say about this place. First room smelly, dirty carpet, just NO! Upgraded cottage a bit better, but not much. Very close to highway ( like staying at a truck stop inn). Noisy! Industrial fan in room even more noisy. Shoddy maintenance. As for having a nice intimate dinner in the fine dining restaurant - not so much with being watched by CCTV.
The restaurant was closed and we had to go outside for supper and breakfast that was such a turn off. Had we been told we would have booked somewhere else. Went to the Spa venue, there was not even a proper greeting and welcome. We almost felt like we were bothering them by being there. No communication, no attention just unfriendly staff. The actual spa treatment was really good, the therapist did a great job with zero customer service. If you go there know that to them you are just a number, you are not special not even if it's your birthday. The ladies there are just there to do their jobs.
Very good location -- perfect stop over -- great facilities -- just a pity -- possibly ue to 2020 & Covid -- lacks some general maintenance, Patio decking and glass protection shields -- awesome to use, but unpleasant due to condition
