Booked this venue as it was close proximity to a family wedding in the Nottingham Road vicinity. Everything about this venue was tip top. Such a well appointed & quiet room, delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

This property is, as expected in a beautiful part of the world. Not sure if the COVID shutdown is responsible, but this is certainly no luxury establishment. Arriving late and exhausted I am asked to park my large Range Rover in a spot that obviously could not accommodate a mini, next to 2 huge delivery trucks parked between two room annexes. I cannot imagine why management would think that a commercial car park is conducive to a luxury B+B. Garden is well kept and attractive. The room is more than adequate and well furnished. The stale smelling old towels are a disgrace. The bathroom is old but useable. My wife left to buy Handy Andy to try clean the shower mildew. Being from Gauteng we were probably incorrectly anxious about security but the wide open property gates all night long cannot be wise...even in the Midlands. We were woken to the lovely sound of rats playing in the ceiling. Decided not to try the breakfast. We packed and left immediately, I was told I would be contacted by Angie to discuss our early departure....still waiting. Refund on request was denied. What a disappointment to what was meant to be such a special weekend.

Before I booked my rooms online , I called the owner of the hotel as on Bookings.com my reservation for 4 adults was only giving me 1 room. I called the owner and explained that I had 2 teenage daughters and it would be difficult to share 1 bathroom with them. She advised me to book the room and she will look out for my booking and would allocate 2 rooms. When I got there, they had squeezed 4 beds in one room. When I called the owner she says I booked it that way and there was nothing she can do to help me for that day. I think she overbooked, cause the next day she was able to give me another room. I complained to the staff that the toilet was not flushing, they replied that the water comes in slow, was never fixed during my stay. Very bad place will not advice to book there.

Love the tranquility and the beautiful gardens at Loxley House. There are various lovely healing massage treatments for the stressed and overworked business woman or man. The Guesthouse is a short distance from the Gowrie Gold course.
