We were so impressed with our stay at Lavender Trout Guest Farm. Jo, the owner, is so welcoming and such a delightful person. The setting is idyllic and tranquil with well kitted out accommodation that is beautifully decorated. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. We loved the geese that graze on the lawn! We are so looking forward to coming back!

STONE COTTAGE We visit the Midlands often and this is by far the best self-catering place we have ever stayed. It is in a great location; the cottage is beautiful and homely and has everything anyone would ever need when staying at a self-catering cottage. The fire was already roaring in the fireplace when we arrived and the next day when we got back after meandering, it was also lit, and the cottage was warm. The beds were very comfortable and have electric blankets. The attention to detail in the cottage and on the whole property is the best I have ever come across. The outside patio/braai area of Stone Cottage is so lovely, I will have to go back in the summer so we can use it properly. Jo and her staff were a pleasure to deal with. It really makes ones stay that much more enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved our stay at Lavender Trout Farm. We stayed in Harvey House, everyone commented on how comfy the beds were and what an amazing sleep they had had. The fireplaces kept the house warm. The house was clean and the cleaning staff were very friendly. The view was beautiful and the entertainment areas where great. Plenty space for board games and it was great having a nice big dining table to all eat together. Great braai area. The owners were fantastic with their communication from when I booked, days before our arrival and on the day aswell Jo sent us traffic warnings and wished us safe travels. Just an all round great stay at Lavender Trout. Highly recommend

We had a very nice stone cottage. It was clean and well organised. The beds were very comfortable and linen good. It was peaceful and quiet with a lovely outdoor area with braais and wood supplied. The area has a few nice eating places. We would definately go back there.

Nice location, clean and large room, comfortable bed, fantastic facilities and warm-hearted staffs. Had a nice walk with my son in the forest. Stunning dams which made us to regret forgetting to take fishing rods. Would love to come back one day.

Thank you Jo. Stone Cottage was an absolue treat to stay in for 2 nights last week. We recharged our batteries and loved every minute. The Cottage has absolutely everything one for need for self catering and is tastefully decorating and very well appointed. A mention has to be made quality of appliances, fabrics, bathroom products, pots, pans, crokery, cutlery is excellent and well thoght out. It was most impressive. The beds were very comfortable, crisp linen, additional blankets, electric blanket and a lovley fire place. We will most certainly be back.
