We stayed in the self catering accomodation. It was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities one would require for self catering. Perfect to meander along the MIdlands. Accomodation was clean and had a fireplace for those cold days. Go for breakfast to Blueberry cafe opposite the accomodation. Didn't have time for any spa treatments. A place we would love...

Stayed for two nights in the luxury rooms outside the main complex, was very well appointed and spacious. Friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. We dined both nights in room and ordered from the resturant - food was excellent. Spa was excellent.

I only happened to stay a night on business, mainly because of unavailability elsewhere. any complaints - no. the service was impeccable and the rooms beautiful maintained, I had an evening meal and quite frankly it was the best steak I've ever tasted. The chef is awesome.Any bad points (and they are really clutching at straws and perhaps a bit...

Thanks so much for your comments. We will keep in mind the bar times and we definitely have underfloor heating in our rooms to keep our guests warm during the chilly midlands winters. I will double check your room's heating facilities with our housekeeper and apologise that you were cold.

We stayed for four nights and loved the rooms, so spacious and the underfloor heating is a real luxury in winter. The restaurant is great with home made bread each day. The welcome was lovely with a glass of fizz in front of the fire and all the staff were so helpful and lovely. We booked several spa treatments and...

Dear Lisa Thanks for your feedback it is greatly appreciated. My apologies for your experience up at the Spa! Please see my comments below as and explanation as to why things happened rather than an excuse as we have let ourselves down. If treatments are running late it is generally because other guests have arrived late, the policy should be...

Winters spa day with friends.... All 3 of us enjoyed our treatments very much. Our therapists were very friendly and professional, and added to a lovely relaxing outing. The rooms were lovely and warm, cosy and clean. Would happily visit again

Everything was great, the rooms, the food the service. We even got a short story on our bed every night to read before turning in. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in the Midlands.

My wife and I had a 3-night stay at The Fordoun to attend a wedding at a nearby venue and came away most impressed with the hotel. Our little cottage/villa was delightfully well-appointed and scrupulously clean. The log fire was a welcome addition as winter was approaching in the South African Midlands. I liked the staff enormously: they were friendly...

This establishment offered a perfect anniversary getaway. Amazing room with great attention to detail, excellent spa treatments, and sublime dining (don't miss the lamb chops!). Only slight criticism is that the check-in process and orientation could be improved; this said: WOW!!

Possibly the best place to stay in the Natal Midlands. It feels like a second home. the rooms are very comfortable with all mod cons. Food is excellent and guests are encouraged to stay for dinner. The spa is superlative with a pool to float in. Neighbourhood of Nottingham Road and the Midlands generally are worth visiting especially in autumn...
