Arriving at Fordoun is like arriving home to a gentler old school family Hotel, like they used to do; a lost art in this day and age. If kicking back, reading and a bit of spa TLC is on your list, this is the place for you. A quick drive from JHB into rolling hills and the laidback attitude of the Midlands is all that’s needed to disarm a frazzled Joburger. The spa therapists are superbly trained so don’t worry girls your paws and claws are in good hands. Thanks to Jules and the team for a fab stay, we loved our break and our couple dozen fresh eggs from the farm, Keep up the great work, Gaynor

I came here with my girlfriend for our one year anniversary and I can plainly say it was worth every single cent ! From treatments in the spa to mouthwatering food at the restaurant that will leave you begging for more, Fordoun created the most amazing day and for this special occasion. The continuous greeting from all the friendly staff makes you feel welcome at all times, but don’t let that fool you into thinking they are not professional! The quality of service is impeccable and this is just the professionalism of the staff. If you want to have a special outing I would highly recommend the picnic basket which is filled with the delicious and decadent and is a must have. On arrival at our room we were astounded by the jaw dropping decor and beautiful room. The bed can only be

We frequent the midlands and have hotel hopped all the luxury establishments. Over the past 5 years it is now clear we have a winner! The reception is fast efficient and professional. My family found the herbal turmeric welcome drink interesting but I loved the special taste. The rooms are extremely spacious and very very clean and hygienic. Generous amounts of soap and bubble bath and bath salt as well as sanitizer are placed all over. The rooms are tastefully decorated with stories of historical moments of the area. Beautiful gardens and water features and a magical sized spa. You can visit a highly qualified herb doctor who has even been to the Oscar's!!! The dinner was delicious with generous portions and the salmon and risotto is something I will have again. A la carte
