We have nothing to complain about the hotel or the rooms or the service per se. Our compaint is with how the hotel handles their events. For the Buen Fin (the Mexican version of Black Friday), they had an event going on in their bar next door. The music blared until 2AM, the loud boom-boom bass was unbearable. Of course we also had the rooms looking out to the bar, but still. Paying $2600 Pesos for a nice room and not being told that an event is going on, that's really bad management! Don't ever stay on a weekend, they might have an event or a wedding going on and sleeping will be quite impossible. When we wanted to complain to the manager in the morning, they told us he was just 5 minutes away. We gave up after waiting 15 minutes. And don't think we don't understand "cultural differences", we live in Mexico!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this romantic and beautiful hotel that sits across from Iglesia Santiago Apostol and the lovely plaza. Our accommodations included free breakfast and 45-minute massage for each of us, free parking and the best service provided by the entire staff. We love this hotel and cannot wait to go back.

Since you enter to the Hotel. A fantastic feeling of the real Mexican Folklore fills your heart ! You are welcome in a warm way that only can be found in small towns like Santiago NL. Beautiful people in all ways. More than helpful and willing to make your stay incredible pleasant. Hotel is located in the very heart of the Town in the main plaza. Right beside an antique Church that gives you the “good morning” with a spectacular sound of his bells ! Food in the Restaurant is Delicious, with a fine selection of the greatest dishes that Mexican cuisine is famous for. Breakfast “machaca a la mexicana” is the breakfast of my election. With warm flour tortillas freshly hand made. Hotel also offers you a session of Spa and a cool gift shop. I recommend you 1000% stay here much better that in the city. It is amazing !

I was somewhat apprehensive about my hotel reservation at this particular hotel until I arrived. Despite the low price for a room at this hotel, the staff, facility, restaurant, and the room were outstanding! The hotel is located in a quaint village like setting with the hotel itself styled as a hacienda retro design. The staff was absolutely amazing from the reservation team to the restaurant staff, and to the management. Never have I paid so little to be treated like a VIP!! The hotel pool is located behind the grounds in the Spa section and even though it was temporarily closed , the staff personally escorted us to the spa area and opened the pool so the kids could swim during their stay. Special accommodation was even made for my autistic son to bring in outside food/cooler to the room (despite being against the rules) due to an eating/sensory issue. The clean rooms were traditionally decorated and hot water was Not an issue as is in many budget to moderate priced rooms in Mexico. The room was appointed with coffee maker, bottled water, Neutrogena brand toiletries, hair dryer, and iron/ironing board. Ice is available upon request. I did not use the Spa services although they are available. Limited television channels are available in English for evening viewing however, with such nice views of the village like town , I can't imagine tv viewing being much of a priority. Tucked away in the property is a small playground for young children as well as a small walking park in front of the hotel. For the budget-moderate priced traveller this hotel is a must stay! We will definitely visit again soon!

We loved our stay at Las Palomas. The rooms were nice and the lobby and outdoor areas were really good. There were fountains and lots of seating. We only spoke English, but were easily understood by everyone. We were there for a family reunion and got four rooms. It was great having the rooms right next to each other. Nobody had any complaints! The area felt very very safe. There were little shops and stores and a beautiful church nearby. It was a wonderful time!
