We stayed for one night at Kazondwe and we were so lucky to have chosen this place. The view is stunning, you breathe in and out and you feel relaxed and happy just to be there. The pool is beautiful as well and you have a great view from the Pool. Susanne and Marc made us feel so invited. You do not feel like a usual „hotel guest“ here, you feel like you are staying with friends. We were greated warmly before we hopped on a boat trip on the river with Marc to see hippos, a crocodile and we were even so lucky to see a leopard. At home at the Lodge Susanne was cooking dinner for us and the other guests. We ate all together and had a wonderful time listening to stories and listening to the hippos making their noises at night. The Food was great and the breakfast as well. The hippos even come and grass in the Garden of the Lodge :) our tent was beautiful, the campsites are beautiful as well. The whole experience was beautiful. We were sad that we had to leave, we would have loved to stay longer and would definitely come back. Thank you Susanne and Marc and hope to see you again one day.

If you're looking for a small remote campsite over water, with a central area and pool offering the touch of class (not often available when camping), go to Kazondwe. Expect class, style, privacy, charming hot reed enclosed private showers, hippos, borehole water, swimming pool, wifi, electricity, peace and quiet, really nice people, a personal touch, oversized leather sofas, a fully stocked bar, delicious home cooked food (legend has it, the best pizzas in Africa) and amazing views and sunsets. Best campsite in ages!!!!!!! Loved it and wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks for thr lovely chats Susanne and Mark!

Large campsites, private ablutions, gourmet meal, tasty furnished restaurant, enjoyable sunset cruise, many sightings of hippos with knowledgable guide. Interesting bird life. Lovely pool overlooking plains. Close to A33.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Kazondwe camp. It is in an excellent position and everyone is helpful and friendly. However, we were disappointed with a few issues which could easily be resolved.
A fridge or Cool box in the tents as it is very hot and cold drinks are needed in the night.
A communal tea and coffee station for 24/7 would be helpful as there is no facilities for this in your tent.
Finally, we were charged 80 dollars corkage which we all felt was excessive.

We stayed here for 3 nights in the camping section. The campsite was really beautifully set out and the ablutions were really nice. The water was warmed with a donkey, but it worked really well and the water was piping hot!
We did a sunset cruise which was really beautiful and we saw so many herds of elephants.
Mark and Suzanne were amazing hosts and we felt like we left as friends.

We stayed at the campsite for a week. Without a roof tent, just a small tent on the ground. All the elephants, hippos and the other animals were there, but we had no problems. Apparently they know how to behave :-) Susanne and Marc were great hosts. They always care about our well-being. One of the highlights: the trip on the Kwando River with the camp's own boat. Definitely don't miss it.

Susanne and Mark really made our stay at their camp very special. They went out of their way to help and pointed us in the right direction. The campsites are big and easy to live at. The main camp and pool are relaxing with amazing views over the river. We did a river cruise with the kids (5 & 6) - beautiful to see hippos and antelope so close. Definitely worth a visit when in Caprivi, they also have tented accommodation and container home style studios.

Spent 2 fantastic nights at campsite number 1. Campsite very private and overlooking the river bed below. Plenty of shade (probably a little too much during winter) and authentic private ablutions were top class.
HAd a fantastic meal overlooking the plains and Susanne was very accomodating with food choices for our family. Highly recommend the boat trip. Spent 3 hours on the water seeing Elephant, Hippos and other game. Also an easy drive to the various reserves.

Beautiful view, small and unique accommodation. Beautiful styled lodge area with a nice Pool overlooking the plains. Tented accommodation is perfect, clean bathrooms. Friendly hosts, easygoing.
Felt right at home and love waking up to the bird life and listening to the hippos at night. Easy to access camp from the tarred road it’s only a 1.5 drive but yet you are emerged fully into nature once at the camp.
