Very efficient and friendly service. Room was well equipped and very neat and clean. I was on my back from visiting family in the Eastern Cape and found this to be the ideal location for an overnight stay. The overall experience was on par with establishments charging much higher fees. Very good value for money, guaranteed!

A great place to stop over en route as it offers comfortable accommodation in a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood close to the N1. Spacious, light and welcoming. Even though we arrived late, the staff were friendly and opened up for us. The wooden cabin feel made for a relaxing stay even though it was only an overnight stop. Apart from the rooms, the accommodation offered comfortable seating areas and tables to eat. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Kroonstad or passing through.

Such a great stop on the way from Jo burg to Port Alfred. Just off the motorway and such value. Lovely large bed and crisp, cotton sheets. Lovely breakfast which makes the stay a real bargain for the price.

If you are ever looking for accommodation in the Kroonstad area you should definitely consider the Sevens Guesthouse. The guesthouse is a beautiful wooden cabin with separate rooms that open up onto a small courtyard. There is a shared lounge and dining room area, as well as a pool. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a French theme and are very spacious. The lady that welcomed us was also very friendly and helpful. They also have secure parking so you can rest assured that everything is safe while you are sleeping.

We arrived a lit before 6 o'clock pm and stood before a closed gate. We rang, once, twice , but no answer. We phoned the cell number which was on the signage and were told by a lady to enter, she gave us the gate number. The front door was closed and nobody was in sight, so, again I rang the lady on het cell. We were told to go to room 5, keys were in the door. Bit difficult though if you have no idea where room 5 is and the front door is closed... A little later somebody arrived, opened the door and showed us room 3 ( yes 3, not 5). We were told that she would not be present the next morning, but we could give the key to the cleaning lady. This is what I call , good service! A warm welcome ? She also told us that the front door would be closed , but if we wanted to leave ( we hadn't had dinner yet), we could walk around the house. However there is not a path, nor lights. See photo which I have attached. Again, very professional to help your "guests". Their website states clearly: check in time till 20:00 in case the owner wants to react with the fact they are not a 24/7 guesthouse.
When we were about half an hour in this place I received an SMS, stated that we could enter the guesthouse, go to room 5 etc. What a way to welcome your guests and more likely a very cheap way to urn money. The SMS started with "Dear Mr Langana", which is not at all my name, but who cares. The owners anyway not. In case the owner wants to react to this review, we were at no time impolite but totally flabbergasted by such a lack of service. The room itself then: a wooden structure that lets you enjoy everything your neighbour does, from watching TV, flushing the toilet in the middle of the night, leaving at 6:00 am etc... The shower has no door, so, your bathroom is flooded when you have finished. The door of the bathroom itself needs to be stopped by a coat rack. I have attached a picture of this original way to keep a door open. The mirror above the sink is so small, it is useless. The TV, there is surely not a smaller model available on the market. Difficult to watch. Wifi was not working. We had booked a twin but were given a double bed. We felt that the owners of this place have no idea what so ever about tourism and hospitality and only want to make a few quick bucks. After all, a very unpleasant stay and not at all recommendable, only perhaps if you want to book a room and nobody may know or see you ?...

As we were leaving Johannesburg late on a Sunday afternoon and heading for Port Elizabeth we needed a stop over spot. Seven was just right, situated about 2 hours drive south of Jo'burg. We received a very warm welcome and the room was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely recommend Sevens as an overnight stay as it is also very reasonably priced.

Great hostility, conveniently placed on route from N1 and the systems are easy for guests to use. Next time a longer stay. Rooms clean and the beds are comfortable. Perfect place for a girl’s weekend away.
