Super nice Atmosphere, very welcoming staff. The food you can order is very regional and the figs and tomatoes are even from the place itself. I also really like the ecological approach of this place with its solar energy and the fig farm surrounding it. You can find many cozy places in the shade close to the pool with deck chairs and even some hammocks. I‘ll definitely come back!

Puglia is beautiful but this hotel was one of the worst stays of my life. In fact it’s not even a hotel and more like a school project. It’s run by the son ( Luigi ) of the owners who uses the hotel as a place to host his friends, drink, smoke and network within the area, he is very arrogant. Rooms: The rooms are dated, holes in the drapes, furniture which is dirty. Bathrooms have old dry towels and holes. The room which claimed to be a suite but by no means is it a suite had some outdoor space which has been left to become overgrown with weeds and dirt everywhere. We couldn’t use it at all. Cheap furniture which is very dated and worn, the rooms are more like 3* at best. Highly advise not to visit: This place is an overpriced 3 star and even that is being generous since management are 0/10 Food: Morning buffet is not very hygienic and I didn’t feel comfortable considering the new precautions that should be in place because of covid-19. Restaurant is hosted by waiters who can’t speak English never mind French or German. Food is the opposite of effortless. They are trying so hard to be something they are not. My pasta was over cooked, The fish was dry and our buratta was not fresh! Pool: Not like in the photos! Dirty and filled with leaves and insects. Pool changing Rooms were gross! Dirty nappy discovered by my partner and the floor was wet with paper left on the floor. Lastly the staff are asleep most of the time. Not helpful, seems more like a game for them than actual work. My girlfriend who is Italian asked the receptionist if we could change room as ours was dirty and he replied he would speak with the manger who was in a meeting. He was in fact drinking and smoking outside. The manager never bothered to speak with us and our room was never changed. I have never experienced such ignorance :( Overall this place wants to be something which they just are too lazy to strive to be. It’s ran by a family with no international experience and they don’t seem to care about you as a guest but instead focused more about hosting their friends and family which I have nothing against but unfortunately it makes for a very uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere for us guests. Overall, Furnirussi you were very disappointing and made for one of the most unpleasant visits in Puglia. You need NEW management ASAP and to consider the soul of the hotel.

Response from Furnirussi Tenuta, General Manager at Furnirussi Tenuta
Responded 1 week ago
Dear Sir, THIS IS A FAKE REVIEW. "Furnirussi Tenuta" has been open for a few days and we have not had as guests any couple consisting of a foreign person and an Italian girlfriend. We also specify that nobody in the hotel speak about of kinship between staff and the property.

The rooms are comfortable, very spacious and clean. The breakfast is nice as long as you stick to the local produce. Unfortunately, due to high expectations as a 5 star hotel, we were disappointed. The pool and surrounding area was dirty and not some where to relax/spend time. The staff a friendly but not genuine. They come across as if they only care about sales of lunch, dinner or massages. Dont bother with the overpriced dinner unless really no other option.

Looking for a great hotel to discover the Salento region of Puglia? Look no further! The breakfast they serve starts your day perfectly: plentiful, locally sourced, lots of flavour - and the figs (and fig tart) are to die for. Fyi, dinner (a la carte) was great too - with a good selection of local wines! The bed was very comfortable, the room big and cool - although maybe a little bit too noisy (or maybe those neighbours were a little bit too loud). The pool area (more like a lake area) is the best I've ever seen. You'll gladly spend the day next to or in that beautiful pool. The staff? Efficient, professional and superfriendly. As a visitor, you only have one "job" to do: relax. For us (my girlfriend and I) it was the ideal hotel to discover the Salento and relax when we wanted. If we come back to Puglia, we'll definitely book here again. And I won't hesitate to recommend Furnirussi Tenuta to friends and family.

We've been coming to this hotel for quite a few years now and always love it so much. We have a 3 year old son who loves to play in the magnificent pool. Breakfasts are a feast and all the food and wines are great. The place is a bit in the middle of nowwhere but beaches and cities are all within 15-20 min drive. We love the fact that it is so peaceful and quiet, never crowded, no screaming kids. A great staff, personal attention. A home away from home.
