The auberge offers excellent breakfast and also fabulous dinners. It is well located close to the river and in a quiet place. It is decorated with good taste. Nearly all guests were from France and appreciated the excellent meals. The new owners are working hard to keep this place running, sometimes a bit stressed. Some rooms are very large. We would go back if we could.

What a wonderful place and location. Auberge le Bome is easy to find and despite being just off the main route, is very very peaceful. The hotel is finely decorated and exceptionally well looked after by the very friendly and hospitable owners. The room on the top floor was lovely and relaxing. A lovely terrace exists to admire the view with a local beer and we had an excellent evening meal. Wish we had stayed longer. It deserves to be full every night.

This hotel is in a very picturesque location with a lake view. The owners, Nathalie and Sylvain, are delightful. The rooms are all different, very cosy yet spacious and are decorated with style. It’s almost like stepping back in time but with a modern twist and nothing is lacking. There is even a lounge with lots of board games for rainy evenings. The food was also excellent - both dinner and breakfast, prepared and served by the owners who were also happy to chat and tell us about the history of the hotel and the area. The surrrounding area is beautiful with lots of great hikes - it is not far from the Parc di Mauricie A great getaway for peace and quiet and good company too.

After staying in many large chain hotels, this small auberge radiates warm and friendly hospitality. The rooms are all different and a bit bizarre but very nice. The mistress of the house in a fine chef and we had a very, very good diner. Warm breakfast is prepared in front of you !

We stumbled across this lovely genuine Victorian BnB by chance in a heavy rainstorm a few evenings ago. And we were in luck. They had a small cosy room (with 2 singles) for less than the price quoted on this website, with breakfast included. A good start! But the best was to come, in the guise of the restaurant. It was full, and we soon discovered why. For hors d'oeuvres I had the bison sausage with spicy onion, and my wife had the home-smoked salmon with butter and maple syrup. Then followed the cuise de canard confite and casserole de legumes for me and the magret de canard ginger with maple syrup for my wife, but what a delight! Freshly picked champignons accompanied one of the dishes, gorgeous. We finished by sharing the tarte amandine aux poires. The whole meal was altogether of 5-star standard and left us satisfied and pleased with the experience. The house wine from Langedoc was very satisfactory. Breakfast next morning was a lovely high class assortment we leave to the traveler to discover for himself. Enjoy! And many thanks to our lovely hosts who have run this establishment for 27 years. They are professionals.

Room Tip: The top floor of this old Victorian house is best, due to wood floorboards throughout.
