An overflowing ashtray by the reception greets you in the evening and in the morning when breakfast is served. The breakfast was disppointing; the fruit salad was out a tin, the coffee was cold, the toasters take forever to toast. There was a kettle that was being boiled - that was passed over the toater! The room was clean, but didnt like the tv hanging on a cord from the ceiling - a bit strange.

I have to visit Welkom for a business trip and my colleague booked this B&B for us. First of all, its a great place to stay. Rooms are clean, cozy and bathrooms are also very clean. The shower cabin was impressive too. The B&B staff (well, I guess they are the owners also) were very friendly. As its a B&B, there was no room service but they cook nice breakfast. What I really appreciate is that I am a vegetarian (I do not eat eggs or meat) and in Welkom, I guess generally everyoe eat meat or at least eggs, Still they took the pain for preparing vegetarian sandwich just for me one morning and for the next morning they got some vegetarian sausages for me so that they could provide variety breakfast to me. They even showed me the box of the sausages to let me know that the sausages

Stayed in Captain's Cabin for nearly a week for a friend's wedding - this place is wonderful - the rooms are fantastic - I could not fault the room, or the service (Sissy - your laundry service is the best!). The only criticism I could make is that your beds are too big - I couldn't find my husband in the morning - Roy and Suzette, well done!

It is difficult to find somewhere of this quality in Welkom that has 20 rooms. I took a group of officvials down for a race meeting and I heard nothing but praise from the group. Nothing was too much trouble as even breakfasts were made available when ever required to get us top the circuit in time. My wife and I hate perfume spray though which I suppose is used to get rid of cigarrette smells.
