This place was amazing. Views over the pool and across the river at the 18th hole of the golf course. Beautiful sunsets and peacefull sunrises with the fish jumping and birds sunning themselves. The room had every amenity and was impeccably clean. They went out of their way to help me with local recomendations for restaurants and activities as well as going the extra mile when I needed some additional help. By far the best place to stay close to town.

My husband and I stayed at Rus & Vrede recently. The view is amazing and we sat on the patio watching the sun set. The Vaal river in front of us seemed clean with plenty of fish. The amenities in the room were very good with muesli and yoghurt provided for breakfast. Yvette was very helpful in advising us about restaurants in the area etc.

What a fabulous property !!! Clean Peaceful & wonderful view . parking available. Clean functioning swimming pool. Got brief of the place on call a day before arrival at the property with a precise visual of what to expect. I was even upgraded to a more executive room with a view to die for

We stayed for 2 nights at Rus and Vrede. It is the most superb, 5 star facility I visited in a long time. The views are amazing. Yvette is the most amazing hostess giving a lot of effort in the small details. The room is clean with crisp, beautiful linen. The bed is comfy. The electric blankets and aircon helped for the winter cold. Yvette was available 24/7 to give recommendations. The coffee station was abundantly stocked. The muesli, rusks and jogurt for breakfast delicious. Definitely the best place to sleep over in Parys.

I chose Rus en Vrede for a three day re charge weekend and that’s exactly what I got! Yvette, the owner went to such care to make sure my stay would me a comfortable and memorable one. My room had everything I needed from all the many fluffy bath towels to all the choices of coffee….wow! Thank you Yvette for your great hospitality….I will definately recommend your accommodation to all and will be back.

Beautiful rooms and bathroom! We loved the patio with the view of the Vaalriver. Much attention to small detail! Wonderful stay with peace and quiet. Will want to go again with friends. Will be nice if there was a boat and a jetty to go onto the water..
