We stayed at Stonehenge for a work teambuilding experience.
The staff went out of their way to accommodate our requests and make our stay comfortable. They also arranged the teambuilding activities, which was very well planned.
The accommodation is clean and comfortable. The rooms have air-cons so you can maintain a comfortable temperature. You get very basic complimentary toiletries (Soap, small shampoo and small body lotion), so bring your own.

They have a decent selection of TV channels. I stayed in the Self Catering unit which is situated away from the main Boma. There's no Wi-Fi in this Unit so you can truly cut off from the world.

The accommodation arranged separately plated Halaal meals for us from a caterer based in Parys, and they would collect it daily for us.

A lovely place to stay and great service from the staff and management.

We had a breakfast run and we were so impressed with the venue that we booked it for our year end function, including a birthday celebration and an anniversary. We also plan to do some photo shoots and taking nice pictures. Some of us also attended the 4x4 event on the Saturday.

I've visited Stonehenge in Africa on numerous occasions in the past and it used to be the goto B&B when visiting Parys.

Ever since Covid regulations started the service at this guesthouse has deteriorated to such a level that I will never recommend this B&B to anyone traveling to Parys again.

I usually book my room at the self catering units as they are perfect for my needs, only problem I had with those units were the fact that there's no Wifi reception available there.

My last trip I was forced to check-in to the standard room in the main building even though I always specify that I would like to rather stay at the self catering units. I've made personal expenses to have a lovely braai at these unit.
The staff then informed me that if I do stay in the main quarters and not the self catering units that I'm not allowed to braai anywhere on the premises even though there's numerous braai facilities available.

The last but most upsetting item I would like to highlight is the fact that they do not adhere or comply with the COVID regulations, no screening took place as I entered their premises and also the facility was fully booked with guest roaming about without any PPE as set out in the strict national disaster act and regulations, they do have the equipment needed to do screening but just don't do it. There is also a sign sign at their entrance that stated that they adhere to the strict regulations mentioned above.

Therefor this accommodation poses a risk for infection!

The complex has a prized location on a beautiful part of Vaal river. It celebrates the theme related to Vredeford Dome and its stone formations especially pseudotachylite structures. By the a bit far fetches parallels with Stonehenge it brings the area closer to the imagination of the tourists and it somehow makes sense and works as a commercial attraction. There are conference facilities, hotel, cottages, restaurant, interesting river walk . It is worth your consideration.

We spent the daypicnicing on the banks of the Vaal River, under a willow tree on green grass. What a pleasant day. We even caught a nice yellow fish on a fly! The grounds are immaculate and well cared for. Management was also very friendly

This was my first visit to this wonderful place in the small dorpie of Parys. Unbelieveably beautiful surroundings and well-kept gardens. The Vaal river passes through this facility. If you want to bond with nature, don't look any further. Staff friendly and helpful. My room was river facing, what more could ask for. Food was just ok though. Rates reasonable and affordable. Will definitely visit this place again for leisure.

I would recommend Stonehenge anytime, for any occasion. They came to the party more than 150% all the way. Their service, facilities, food, and everything else, was immaculate.

Even when our functions in the evenings were arranged, the functions rooms looked absolutely stunning.

We as a company and our overseas clients had the most wonderful time and there were no complaints whatsoever.

I recommend Stonehenge with the utmost assurance that you would enjoy being there as much as we have and that ALL there will go the extra miles to make your stay as welcome as possible.

Well done to ALL at Stonehenge.

The place is beautiful but service is poor,

We had required an early check in as we had a function the evening and had only arrived back at Stonehedge late night we were promised that there will be someone to check us in the night.

Coming back later was not so easy. the not so friendly security was sitting inside watching a soccer match not paying attention to us, we had asked for assistance he had told us the guy is at the back eventually after a while and requirement from us he had called the guy who had assist us. Friends that were travelling with us keys were left on the counter and wernt not assisted.

Arriving at the room we were not impressed you pay a lot for poor service the remote for the heater was not working at all.

The friends that was travelling with us had been double booked and went from one of the luxury rooms to a budget room on there wedding night after they had requested a honeymoon sweet but was only later told when they tried to pay room was given away. They even did not have hot water the night as well as next morning

When trying to make a booking it was also a problem getting service as well as responds from Stonehedge not just to make the booking as well as waiting upon the quote and after receiving a quote just to be informed room is already booked.

Highly disappointing

Attended numerous conferences, meetings, events at this outstanding venue, however overnight stay for the first time this week-end. Chalet no 3 was allocated to me. Well equipped, beautiful view over the river and beautiful well kept gardens! Without prior arrangement, a tasty dinner was served that no other restaurant could average in such a short period of time. Friendly and helpful staff, With such beautiful surroundings, excellent service - will certainly return with my family and friends for a well-deserved break away!
