Our stay did not get of you a good start when the hotel said they needed a credit card on check in we assumed for pre authorisation but actually despite having paid in full we were charged for another persons room. As soon as we realised and pointed this out the hotel arranged a refund and were very apologetic but it wasn’t a great start.
The room was big with a lovely view out to the sea. Some of the furnishings were a bit dated. If we had any food in the room ants seemed to get in which was annoying (the hotel brought us breakfast the night before for early check-out and by morning it was covered in bigs.
The pools are both lovely with really comfy chairs. There isn’t much beach but a few chairs looking out to sea.
The gym is small and dated but functional.
There is filtered water available around the resort to refill bottles.
The food was good. I’m gluten and lactose free and Marie in the a la carte restaurant was amazing at making sure everyone knew (even when not our server and looking after me). Thank you Marie for this.
The hotel offers various free buses to explore the island. We took this up to go visit Anse Lazio for the morning and it was a good excursion.
We also booked a couple of taxis through the hotel that were all excellent.
Overall this was a lovely resort even if not the height of luxury and we would recommend it.

We have just checked out from a wonderful stay at the Coco De Mer. On arrival, we received a warm welcome and refreshing drink. Check-in was relaxed yet professional and after talking through the hotel amenities we were quickly shown to our room in the adults only Black Parrot side of the hotel.
We stayed in one of the junior suites, the room was very clean, spacious, bright and well laid out with an indoor seating area, as well as outside patio with lounge chairs and stunning views of the ocean. The bathroom was huge, with double sinks and large shower. There was also a bathtub in the room - very luxurious!
The hotel grounds are stunning, right on the edge of the ocean. Really picture postcard worthy! The pool areas were great and sun beds always available although we preferred the beach area right by our room. The private beach is immaculately clean and the sand swept and cleared of leaves and debris every morning. The setting is really picturesque and we enjoyed the sand between our toes and crystal clear, warm water of the Indian Ocean.
Being so remote the WiFi was rather intermittent although admittedly it was certainly nice escaping the real world for a few days.
The food was delicious. There was plenty of choice at Breakfast with freshly cooked to order omelettes as well as pastries, fresh fruit, pancakes, french toast as well as cereals and juices etc. Dinner in the main restaurant again offered plenty of choices for all tastes including vegetarian options.
All the staff at the hotel were so friendly, knowledgable and helpful. It really does make such a difference to your experience when everyone is so lovely! I really loved this place - and it certainly felt like island paradise at times!

Our stay in Coco De Mer was more than perfect, in all ways. The most memorable was the outstanding staff. It really felt like a big family, the atmosphere was amazing. They could read our wishes from our eyes and made anything possible. Also the kitchen was amazing, they made the impossible possible, as I had some intolerances and could not eat a lot of food, but every dinner I had 4 different and very tasty courses, I looked forward to dinner every single day. They really cared and were super nice. We also loved our room, with plenty of space, everything was very clean and comfortable. We had a little terrace, where we loved to spend our mornings, with sufficient space to do morning yoga or just relax. :) The gym was very well maintained and we used it a couple of times. As we were there during COVID times, the complete room is sanitized every time after a guest used it. The hiking trail to the top of the mountain, which still belongs to the hotel was also very nice, you have an incredible view from up there and our guide told us a lot about flora and fauna. He was very knowledgeable and also very nice. The complete hotel complex is super nice and well maintained. When we were there, there were not a lot of tourist, due to COVID, so we had everything almost for our own. The pools and the sunbeds, all very nice and comfortable. SUP and Kayaks are rented for free. It is fun to explore the nearby beaches. The hotel beach is also nice, there was quite some seagrass in the water, which was not a problem, as the sandy beach was clean and beautiful. The most stunning beaches you should explore in Praslin and La Digue anyway. :) The hotel owns some mango trees, with the most delicious mangos we have ever eaten. Go there in mango season (around march). You can see birds and fruitbats flying into the big trees all day, it is so fun to watch. All in all, we can totally recommend staying in Coco De Mer, we really miss the welcoming and family like atmosphere already. The complete staff is simply amazing, we never experienced anything like it before.

We stayed for three nights. Not typical all inclusive people. The hotel is in a nice location with some good facilities. The beach is small and average. They could do with some better gardens.
The rooms are great. Lovely large bathrooms with a bath. Good seated areas opening onto the waterfront. There is a lot of seating spread out in many areas which means you don’t feel you are on top of each other. The promenade thing is great, good for chilling and finding a breeze. We borrowed canoes, in one direction a turtle came up to my canoe and in the other we passed over a startled stingray.
They offer day trips and we took a ride to the touristy beach in the north, not worth it. If the bus dropped people at the national park on the way back it might have made for a better excursion.
The staff are really friendly. The breakfasts have a good selection and the pool restaurant serves nice food. Sadly we were half board, I didn’t realise, and were forced to eat the buffet. The first night was a ‘spice’ theme and it was okay. The later two nights got weirder, repetitive and just not great. I wish we had written off the money spent and eaten in the restaurant. It would be good if they offered you the choice to use your half board in the pool restaurant instead of forcing you into the poor buffet. The third night was the Indian Ocean. We basically got the same food as previous nights with a different sauce. No seafood odyssey... roast lamb!?
Expect for the buffet I enjoyed my stay and would recommend. It is expensive for what it is... but that’s the Seychelles.

I highly recommend anyone in the service industry go spend a day with Ash and his team for a masterclass in service delivery. Yes, the hotel was quiet due to what is going on in the world but the level of attention to detail was exceptional. From the time we made the booking the hotel was attentive to our needs. Constantly communicating with us (as we had to change the booking due to Covid rules) even when we had booked using Emirates Holidays.
We got married at the hotel and the team led by Philip was very accommodating and helped us throughout the process taking care of every little detail so that we could just focus on relaxing and enjoying ourselves.
We were half board and due to COVID rules, there was no buffet therefore the hotel provided al-a-carte set menus for breakfast and dinner. The meals were very nice and we had a decent variety of meals for dinner for the 6 nights we were there.
There is loads of space in the hotel so even if it was busy I think you would feel quite secluded. It was a nice touch to provide paddleboards, kayaks and bicycles free of charge to guests.
Praslin itself is a beautiful island and much quieter than Mahe the main island. I would recommend flying in from Mahe and not taking the ferry.
Overall we had such an amazing time and every single staff member we met became our friend. They were genuinely happy to be there and it felt like they were part of the Coco De Mer family. More importantly, they made us feel like we are part of the family too. There are too many of you to mention here but you guys are the best and keep up the good work!
In terms of price, it is great value for money as it a very clean and well appointed 4-star hotel. Dare I say it, it is the best hotel we had the pleasure of staying in. :) We will certainly be back and I sincerely hope that the world sorts itself out so that everyone can experience what we experienced.

Even before we arrived at the Coco de Mer we felt all was going to go well, as the questions we asked in advance of our arrival (Covid, transfers etc) were answered promptly and efficiently and it was clear there was a warm, friendly ethos at this lovely hotel. Ash, Philip and Alexander run a professional and friendly team. The hotel has a lovely rich, plantation feel and the decor is both tasteful and colourful. The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and our quirky requests were received and accommodated with good humour. Ash is well connected and knowledgeable and when we began to have issues with changes to prevailing covid regulations he stepped in on more than one occasion to help us navigate our way. He quite literally saved the day! We used the complimentary water sports equipment and enjoyed a coconut treat watching the spectacular sunsets from the sunbathing platform (which we nicknamed the Black Pearl) Our room was lovely, clean, well furnished and equipped, opening out onto gardens, a beach area and then the sea. Quality outdoor furniture on our verandah completed the experience. A great place to stay, where you are truly made to feel that nothing is too much trouble and you are catered for by discreet but friendly people like the lovely Jeanette. Highly recommended.

I feel so lucky to have visited such a wonderful place like the Seychelles. Even more lucky to have visited this beautiful resort.
There is absolutely nothing I can fault. The food was amazing. The service, the staff, the comfort, the location. Everything was astonishing.
From the moment we arrived we noticed how relaxed we could feel. The reception staff cared to give us the best experience. Everyone went out of her way to meet us and also welcome us.
I am quite a nervous traveller and starting our holiday this way it gave me comfort and security.
We stayed at the adult only section, Black Parrot Suites. Gorgeous rooms with beautiful sea views.
Fiona who is the host and generally responsible for the black parrot suites/ showed us to our room, she was full of humour and very welcoming. She is a lovely lady and takes care of all the guests. owards the evening we met Kathleen who is so caring and made sure she gave us all the info about where to go and eat and lots of recommendations about the culture of the locals and things to try.
We went for the bed and breakfast option so we rented a car and ate at quite a few local restaurants. I have to say that the ala carte restaurant in the hotel had quite good food and better than other restaurants around.
Everyone in the restaurants and the waiters gave a lot of attention to detail and if one night they wouldn’t see us they would watch out for us and make sure we were okay. What a beautiful thing to do.
The beaches in front of the hotel are satisfying and great to sunbathe and relax. The cocktails are amazing and make sure you get from the hotel shop some coconut oil to boost that tan. !!
This resort is what we call an experience of a lifetime and we will definitely return again.

We had an amazing time at the hotel. Ash, the Managing director and his staff made our stay wonderful even during the current circumstances with Corona. They had installed sanitizers everywhere and we had a temperature check every morning so that everybody was able to feel comfortable and safe at all time. The location and the food was great! Amazing honeymoon location!

First I want to state that it is admireable that the Ressort is open despite the covid restrictions. The very limited occupancy due to low traveler numbers made it just perfect. Owner/Manager Ash will go out of his way to make your stay just perfect. We were staying 7 nights on halve Board and if you dont like the daily changing options they will probably Cook anything you want. The vegetarian apetizers were close to perfect ion. For Our way of traveling, 5 nights on Praslin would have been enough since you run out of Things to Do on the Island and i am not a beach towel occupant ;).

Stayed at the Coco De Mer hotel for 5 nights at the end of our Seychelles trip. Very conveniently located from the Cat Coco dock for 300rupees in a local taxi. As soon as we stepped into the foyer we felt welcomed and at ease, check in was smooth and we were shown to our room which was an end suite. Spacious and open with so much natural light and beautiful wooden ceiling with a small sitting room leading out to a balcony.
Room amenities were very good, plenty of towels and comforts. We really appreciated how eco concious the hotel was with regards to bottled water and didn’t mind in the slightest going down to fill up our water bottles at the coolers.
Breakfast was amazing, so much choice and very tasty! We hadn’t booked half board (which I thoroughly recommend doing) but ate at the hotel every night. The dinner buffet was really good, we especially enjoyed the fish nights, freshly grilled fish cut and cooked to order- yummy! We had the a la carte menu twice which was also very good and extremely reasonably priced.
I would recommend hiring a car when staying at the hotel as it is slightly secluded. We used the local buses which was quite an adventure but they stop at 7pm and are not very regular.
What makes this hotel is the staff, everyone is so incredibly welcoming, friendly and go above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Thank you Coco De Mer!
