We had a fabulous 20 night say at this wonderful small family traditional hotel. Rooms are on the small side and the bathroom has a shower curtain! but perfectly adequate for our needs. Everything in and around the hotel is spotless. The rooms are cleaned daily with towel and sheets changed every 2 days the exception being Sundays. There is a beautiful’Paradise Garden’ and terrace where drinks and amazing cocktails are served along with breakfast in the mornings. The reigns have been handed over to the 2 younger brothers Manos and Panos who are doing a wonderful job and are a credit to the 2 older brothers Stratos and Apostoli ( who are still very much present) Location is good with 2 tavernas at the bottom of the road with 2 more a few minutes walk. Masouri with all its tavernas is a further 15 minute walk away. Our stay coincided with the climbing season so we did experience some road/scooter noise which wasn’t the best but didn’t detract from our wonderful stay at the Nefeli.

The Nefeli Hotel and Bar was next door to where we stayed and was an excellent stopover for a nightcap. The bar staff and brother owners are so polite and funny and the cocktails are to die for. I finally had "sex on the beach" - yes even at my age!! Next time we visit Myrties we will definately be calling in - we may even stay at the hotel if next door is fully booked

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Comfortable beds beautiful linen. So clean, every thing you would expect from Greek hotel. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast all fresh produce, absolutely suits my tastes. Manos and Panos are like an encyclopaedia if you need information or guidance these are the people to ask. Not forgetting their lovely Poppas who founded the hotel. The island is stunning and from me that is top marks. I’ve travelled the world. But my heart lies in Greece. Nefeli gardens are peaceful and tranquil a lovely place to chill. Kalymnos is the epitome of tranquility and I really want to return. Where will I stay ???? You’ve guessed it Nefeli. Thank you for making my stay perfect. Anything you want you’ve got it at Nefeli. Thank you Room 2 Caitlin

Response from Kardoulias Kardoulias, Ιδιοκτήτης at Nefeli Studios
Responded 01 Sept 2023
Good evening, First of all, we would like to inform you that the price indicated in your review, €6.5, is for straight rum. The drink you ordered was a long drink with rum and coca cola which, as stated in the menu you read, costs €7. However, you chose black rum instead of white rum, and as everyone know's black rum is more expensive because of its special way of making it, so we charged you €8 instead of 7 € for your drink. We only apologize for not mentioning this to you at the time of your order. However, if you had asked us to change your drink from black rum with coke to white rum with coke we would have change it immediately and change the charge of your drink from €8 to €7. As for the prices that you mentioned that are higher than those of Mykonos, we would like to inform you that the prices in our bar and in the whole island of Kalymnos are 7 to 8 times lower than the prices of Mykonos. It may be easy for you to write a review behind a computer but you don't think about the harm you are doing to businesses that care about happy customers, good reviews and to provide their customers with the best quality of drinks and serving in the lowest reasonable price. Nefeli hotel, Kalymnos

Fantastic welcoming cocktail bar. We were staying in the hotel next door but called in here every night for our nightcap. Run by a lovely family who are so welcoming. Great atmosphere, music, ambience & cocktails.

Lovely friendly place. Nothing was to much trouble, ask and you got. The self catering studio was clean and well looked after. The cleaner came everyday and added little extras which were much appreciated. The beds and towels were changed regularly. The two brothers (younger) who run the bar and hotel were amazing and each lady received a fragrant smelling flower with her first drink of the day which added to the overall enjoyment of our Holiday. The gardens and bar area were beautiful and really well cared for by Papa who was a lovely character who brought many a smile to our faces. I would highly recommend The Nefeli. Beautiful, beautiful place xxx

We stayed across the road in the Calypso , and visited the Nefeli every night on our journey home. Steve the owner and his two sons Panos and Manos made you feel welcome as soon as you walked into the bar . It was always very busy , and sat in the beautiful gardens enjoying wonderful drinks , and some great, not too loud music, was a perfect way to finish each day. The guys all worked very hard , and kept the place spotlessly clean ,nothing was too much trouble. The aroma of the different flowers and plants was amazing, a credit to them .We will return and stay in the Nefeli in the future. Many thanks from Steve & Sue Leeds

Nefeli studios are typically old style Greece. Basic but exceptionally clean rooms, thank you Maria. The hospitality of brothers Panos and Manos, along with their father, who will probably never fully relinquish the reigns, is superb. They are rightly proud of the reputation built over almost 40 years. One or both brothers are there to meet you or to say goodbye at whatever time of day or night you arrive or leave, and are always on hand for anything you may need. The garden and bar area are a wonderful way to end the day. The church opposite is a good wake up call on Sunday morning when they ring the bell, but all adds to the ambience. Three beaches are within easy reach, as well as the short boat trip to the small island of Telendos which has a lovely beach and various tavernas. Kouzina restaurant only a minute from the property is excellent and we ate there several times, but many more are available. Absolutely loved our stay.

Although I didnt stay in Nefeli (I was next door in Hermes) I visited the bar and gardens for drinks several times. Beautiful gardens! Extensive cocktail list. All provided by genuinely friendly owners. Definitely recommend popping in here for a few drinks even if you are not staying here. Also, the house pizza is delicious!

The Nefeli hotel is a family run traditional Greek hotel.Family values run high here, 2 brothers started almost 40 years ago and have now handed most of the responsibilities to 2 younger brothers.Standards are very high, everything is spotlessly clean and they are rightly proud of the beautiful garden. The 2 younger brothers, Manos and Panos (hopefully spelt correctly) are fantastic hosts and are a real credit to the business. We stayed bed and breakfast (continental ) and had a wonderful relaxing holiday, the weather was perfect. The rooms ( 10 in total) are quite small but typically old style Greece and the shower curtain does stick to you, self catering facilities, kettle, 2 hot plates, fridge and utensils.Tea towel washing up liquid provided. We travelled with Jet2 from Birmingham, arrived 9:30ish in the evening and were transferred to the Nostros taverna at the port to wait for the ferry.A very pleasant evening spent here I can recommend the moussaka.A short (35 mins) ferry crossing at 12:30 and then transfer by mini bus to the hotel.Transfers both there and back were seamless and enjoyable. Continental breakfast was a choice of boiled eggs, toast, ham, cheese yoghurt honey with fruit and great coffee all served in the beautiful surroundings. So many repeat customers here and you can absolutely see why.
