Elivi Skiathos garners praise for its prime location near pristine beaches and scenic walking trails, with the beaches and transportation options like golf buggies being particularly popular. While some guests have called out the hotel for its spotless areas, others have expressed concerns over cleaning services and room maintenance. Opinions on the rooms are mixed, highlighting both cleanliness and stunning views, but some point out issues with mold and decor. The hotel's atmosphere is generally appreciated, though opinions on value are divided, with many finding the pricing steep without corresponding service levels.

We stayed here for a week at the end of September and it was the best holiday we’ve had. I honestly don’t understand all the negative reviews!!

We stayed in the Grace area and the room was simply stunning. It had the most amazing views out over the beach and sea.
The room was spotlessly clean and had great amenities - coffee maker with pods and creamer, fridge, even a little glass next to the sink with nail files cotton pads and earbuds! They refill these regularly as you use them. The bed was really comfy and had big thick pillows - divine!
Our room was cleaned daily by the happiest lady she always had a smile on her face and took time to ask about your holiday and how things were.

All of the staff were great! We found them all extremely welcoming and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Everyone from the waiting staff at breakfast to the buggy drivers welcomed you with a hello/good morning and were on hand to help. They can’t do enough for you.

The hotel is large and has a lot of different areas and so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues however they do have golf buggies to run you around the resort. We always found these prompt waiting a few minutes or so, even 12.30am after a night out they were on hand to take us back up the hill. Super service! They often stopped to ask if they could take you somewhere if you were walking about the hotel.

The breakfast is gorgeous with plenty of choice including fresh fruit, yoghurt, breads, salads, eggs, bacon, freshly made omelettes, pies, cereals and a selection of cakes donuts and cookies. There’s also an array of coffees teas milks and fruit juices. It was all gorgeous no matter what time of morning we went! The waiting staff are friendly and helpful always with a smile and a good morning :)

We only ate at the beach bar on koukounaries beach and the pool bar on occasion but both of these were great too. My partner had the burger at the beach bar and said it was the nicest one he’s ever had. Can’t comment on the other restaurants as we didn’t visit these.

There is only one private Elivi beach which is at the bottom of the grace area near the beach bungalows. The others are all open for public use but Elivi has sunbeds there for guests of the hotel. These beaches were in place and open for use before Elivi existed so not sure why people expect to have complete sole and private use of these!! We always found plenty of sunbeds free and space at both big banana and koukounaries. There’s fresh towels to use from the hotel too so no need to use your own!

There are quite a lot of mosquitos but it was hot and the hotel is near a nature reserve so what can you expect! The staff do what they can to help by lighting citronella candles around at night, closing the reception doors and they leave a plug-in for your room too. I’m not sure what else people expect…

There’s a few local tavernas to the hotel which were great. We particularly enjoyed the big bad wolf and Alamar. We often went to skiathos town on an evening the bus stop is outside the hotel at the bottom of the bill and costs €3 per person you can’t fall off. Elivi do have a private vehicle which you can use too but not sure on the price. Alternatively a taxi is €25 into the harbour.

Overall, we had the most amazing time and I would not hesitate to stay here again! Do not let the negative reviews put you off this place is fabulous!!

Considering a week before we arrived they had horrendous floods you wouldn’t have suspected a thing had happened! Everyone has worked so hard to gets things back up and running after a difficult year for the Greek people - we can’t thank you enough.

We hope to come back soon! :)

Elivi is situated at just fabulous location. Both Ampelakia and Banana Beaches are magnificent, room views are breathtaking. The hotel is relatively new, rooms are quite good. Breakfast was also impressive. In general ELIVI has amazing potential, but still lack some things to fulfill it.
1. Cleaning is not up to the standards. Floor of our terrace with bath tube was terribly dirty and never cleaned properly for 9 nights. It seems like there is no professional cleaning done prior to start of the season not only in rooms, but also around the property. Not well maintained gardens and outdoor spaces.
2. Service is ups and downs. Staff at Ampelakia beach bar and buggy people were fantastic, while guys at Banana beach were not up to the standard. Reception personnel is also not very friendly. There is a general feeling that there is lack of organization. In some cases, you go to the beach and staff tells you that they do not have towels?!? For a five star resort this is unacceptable.
3. Restaurants are not very good. You can eat much better at Skiathos town or 5-10 min drive from the hotel. We always had our lunch and dinner outside Elivi. They should definitely improve restaurants. There is so much more potential to make money from guests. If there was decent lunch option, we would eat every day, but that is not the case.
4. Booking of sun loungers is an issue. Many people go early in the morning, drop their personal belongings and then only come back in the afternoon. Management should think how to solve this issue in the future.

All in all, it is a very good hotel and if they take needed actions, it can be excellent. We will be back next year and hope that things will be better.

Skiathos is a wonderful island, with the best climate and vegetation, temperatures never excedeed 29 C, a lovely blue sea...
We booked Elivi Hotel for 7 days and we ended up staying for 12 days, the staff is friendly, I think it is the best location on the island as it has 3 different beaches accesible by walking or with the buggy. The quality/ price ratio is very good, it is a fair 5 stars hotel, we travel a lot and we have a lot of experience with hotels. Breakfast is good with many choices, they started with a la carte and now you have buffet, with the staff serving you for covid reasons, but if you want to order something else you don’t find on buffet they are happy to serve you. They also have a lot of coffee choices, like freddo capuccino, frape etc. During this pandemic times we’re living we felt super safe, the property is huge and you can keep distance from other people, and the staff is respecting the rules.

To say I was disappointed buy the Elivi is an understatement. I have to say that the staff did do their best to resolve our issues but it’s just not worth the money considering other places I’ve stayed on the island.

To start with we were put in a room for two people and we are a family of 4. The beds for the kids were one camp bed and the other was a rock hard sofa with some sheets put on it. It was so hard my daughter couldn’t sleep on it and had to sleep in our bed. I don’t expect his for the money I paid for the holiday. However, I do believe some of this is down to the ripoff merchants that are TUI, selling rooms for 4 that are actually for two people. I’ll be writing a spectate review for them! I also should say that the hotel did move us after we complained.

Secondly, we stayed in ‘The Nest’. This is a long way from the main hotel and beaches which is not made clear when booking! They do have golf carts to move you around but there can be long waits at peaks times so you either walk or waste 20 minutes sat at you location waiting to be picked up. Time’s that by 4 time’s a day and you lose hours of your expensive holiday. It’s also a very hilly location so if you’re not fit don’t expect to walk everywhere in 30 degree heat!

Finally, unless you have a degree in home automation, don’t expect to understand how the air con keypads work. I’ve spent 20 years in IT and couldn’t figure them out. There are also no instructions to help. Basically, your rooms is either freezing cold or boiling hot. On the first night the air con was faulty so we spent a sleepless night baking in our concrete box of a room! After messing around with it until 1am I came to the conclusion there was a timer set that couldn’t be overridden.

To give some balance and award some stars for this review. The breakfast was very good and served in a great location. The food in general was very good but we decided not to eat in the restaurants in the evening as they’d already had £5k of my money for a rubbish experience so didn’t want to give them anymore. Also the beach’s are great as are the beach bars and restaurants linked to the hotel. Just be warned that it’s a towel reserving process to you need to be up before the Germans to get a good spot!

I mention from the beginning that we travel on vacation about 3-4 times a year, all the hotels chosen are of 5 stars so we know how to make differences and comparison!
I paid the rest for 3 adults and got a very small room with a double bed and a sofa instead of an armchair. Cleanliness is completely missing, coffee, glasses, teaspoons and cups in the room I received only after I was at the reception and I complained that we don't have anything written on the presentation site. After I used them, the cleaning lady didn't like to bring clean ones in exchange. So in 2 days I didn't have anything to make coffee in the morning. The beaches were closed due to the end of the season, there was only one beach left with a few sunbeds for all those in the hotel, which was also closed 2 days before our departure. The breakfast service was also very poor. .Water, juice, coffee and milk you had to ask 2-3 waiters to receive, after about half an hour. Very small fitness room. It has 2 treadmills, a few weights and a bicycle. 5 stars that it has. Very expensive considering that it was stay in the September period, so off-season and comparing with the services it offers. I have never encountered such bad services at any 5 star hotel ever.

This resort is absolutely fantastic! 4 soft sand beaches to choose from, one nicer than the other... The food&beverage is also great and with a lot of variety. We found this to be very special, as hotel restaurants tend to not be of the best quality.
The staff is super nice, Andreas and many others are very helpful and always with a positive attitude. Also very nice that the staff is very local. We loved our Nest room, very secluded and with wonderful views, however if you dont like walking too much, rather get a room in the Grace complex, as it is much closer to the beaches and reception/breakfast area. What could be improved is the housekeeping service, especially replacement of the amenities eg: shower gel, tissues, etc
Don’t miss a trip with the sailing boat, great day trip!
We definitely recommend this wonderful oasis. If you want to avoid crowds, better go until mid July and again as of September.

Just returned from this amazing hotel last week and truthfully i would love to give it 4+ stars. We had a delayed flight and was late landing in Skiathos but we had pre booked the hotel to transfer us to the hotel at a cost of 50 euro's which was well worth it as we were there in 20 mins and the check in was fast and smooth and a lovely cocktail was provided whilst we completed the paperwork . We had also asked the hotel to upgrade us to a sea view room as we were unable to do this through Jet 2 that we had booked through. Not having been here before we were not familiar with the layout off the hotel. After another drink at the bar we loaded ourselves into one of the golf buggies and were taken to our accommodation. To our surprise we had been given an Altitude Suit in the Nest area with our own private pool !!! absolutely beautiful with the amazing view of Evia across the water.
Hugh king size bed , walk in shower, lounge and a table and chairs outside with two very stylish sun beds also provided was white company toiletries. It certainly was approved with my wife as she was celebrating a big birthday.
In the morning we headed to the main hotel known as the Xenia for breakfast, large and varied selection for everyone and this is where i have to knock of the half a star. Everything was cooked perfectly but, luke warm at it's best, sorry but not good enough for a hotel that claims to be 5 star. My only other gripe was that you could order a cappucino if you like but i had finished my breakfast by the time it arrived 45 mins !! . Everything else was superb and i can't praise the staff enough, always working hard and with a smile. We tried out all the beach bars and the food and drink was fantastic, they just need some more staff as the first few days were okay but then on the Saturday the breakfast staff were running around like headless chickens, even in fairness the general manager got stuck in to help, he even took us back to our villa one night, but be warned he drives like Shumacher.
Overall a beautiful hotel, probably the best four beaches at your disposal in Greece, amazing views all around, comfy sunbeds, crystal clear water and it felt like paradise. we are certainly going back next year if they will have us LOL .

Warm welcome on arrival and cold drinks offered, driven in a buggy to room. We used the buggies alot due to the size of the resort and how hilly it was. Stayed in a Nest suite with private pool. Room was nice and cleaned daily however the AC was noisy and the shower could have been bigger. There were alot of ants over our patio and it would be nice if there were repellents. I didn't find the mattress or pillows comfortable but this is a personal preference. We were given 1 bottle of complimentary water and felt this should have continued throughout the stay.

Room service was great and lots of choice. The staff at the hotel were all amazing and couldn't do enough for us and our baby. The waiter at Nest breakfast he was so nice and our baby would laugh at him.

Our cleaner would wait for the baby to nap until she would come clean our room. Our baby bottles accidentally got thrown away and the hotel turned up with more at 11pm and an apology, this was really lovely of them and we did not expect that kindness.

The best beach for us was the big banana, then grace. The loungers were comfy the service good the sea was clear and the views stunning.

The Leda and Swan restaurant was very good and we really enjoyed the live sax. We weren't as keen on the Japanese restaurant food. Breakfast at grace was better than at Nest.

20mins to town which is worth a visit and 25eur in a cab or 1.60eur on the bus

Our TUI transfer didn't arrive and the Reception manager quickly arranged the Elivi mini bus for us we were very grateful for this.

We would definitely return.

This is a lovely resort, just a few things really need addressing for a 5 star.
The beach at grace is nice but as you get down the steps it is dirty & stonie, it does not give a good impression & could be so much more inviting.
Banana beach at nest os lively & dandy but would improve by a daily rake if debris, the beds there are not swept over night so have sand in them in the mornings, the beds really need updating there.
The pool at nest is not appealing looking, the white sun beds are old & rusty, the grey beds are looking very shabby!
The Italian restaurant at grace is very nice but pricey. The other restaurants are very expensive.
The reception staff are very nice and could not fault them.
It says they have a pillow menu but they don’t, we were only offered an alternative of a harder pillow which really wasn’t much different from what was in the room.
The buggie service is marvellous.
We booked a the mama Mia tour from the hotel but unfortunately the boat used was like being on a ferry, it’s very large & very uncomfortable, takes you to milla beach where I could not get off the busy as there was no shade there & it wasn’t a particularly nice beach, I would not recommend this, better off booking from someone in the marina directly.

We have just returned from an excellent 12 night stay at Elivi. If you want somewhere modern and luxurious with excellent service and a superb natural setting this is really the only option on the island.

Our pool junior suite in Grace was stylish and comfortable and we slept well. We didn’t use our pool much because the beaches are where we ended up spending most of our time. These are some of the best beaches in Europe with plush beds and clear warm water. There is even a lively Ibiza style beach bar with a great lunch called Mystique on one of the beaches that doesn’t belong to the hotel for a different atmosphere.

The restaurants are all equally delicious and what really sets this place apart is the excellent team of young staff who work so hard to make sure you have a great time. The service on the beaches and in the restaurants is perfect.

You can get to Skiathos Town easily if you feel like a change of scenery but we preferred Elivi and felt very relaxed there. We can’t wait to return.

hi, visiting in July 2024, wondering about the sun beds and umbrellas in the 4 beaches, are they free, does the hotel reserves some for you? of course i don't expect the beaches to be private, just wondering how the hotel handles this. any tips i should know? thank you Katerina ❤️

Yes- unless you don’t mind the music blasting out of the beach bar don’t go next to the sea. I’d recommend being in 3rd or 4th row away from beach. I was in 602 & could still hear it. Don’t go next to the breakfast area/ main pool as people are walking back & Firth all day to access the beach etc. hope that helps.
