Great hotel to stay in Vasiliki bay. Sofia, Lambrini & Erenia are super kind and ready to help and guide you sll over. They have an almost private beach with great bar service and an Aquapark (Operated by Nautilus Diving, which is near by). The hotel is new, super clean, very good breakfast and located a few minutes walking from the Marine and all the restaurants, shops, rental car and so. Super recommended.
Positive; The first positive thing is the staff! Very nice and friendly family! Very good location: the beach is very very close, harbor is also close with a lot of restaurants and shops. It has also a private parking place (a little bit dusty, but large enough). A big garden with a lot of things to stay in the evening. Still can be improved: the variety of breakfast (Each morning is the same). Internet speed is not so good.
We paid for a sea side room and we got a view of the other unfinished building. The room was clean. They got a parking area. The beach near the hotel has no waves, is near the port, but în the other way, at Pondi beach, which is close, is much better. I think that with this money you can find something else!
We stayed 5 nights at Akroyiali and I can’t fault them at all. It’s right on Vasiliki beach and a 5 minute walk( with kids) to the taverns by the water. 10 minute walk to Ponti beach which is all sandy and shallow. They have beach chairs out the front ( some rocks but after a few steps it’s sandy. Kids loved the aqua park outside which was 7 euro for an hour ( they stayed for 1.5 hrs) and sun by the dive club next door. There is also a pool next door for use ( as long as you get a coffee) Rooms are absolutely spotless and cleaned and mopped daily. Rooms are air conditioned and have shutters to block out light Lambribi, Rania and their mum Sophia will go above and beyond for whatever you need. Beautiful family run hotel, so amazingly friendly and true Greek hospitality. My kids loved relaxing in the hammock out the front too before or after hitting the beach. It was quiet around the area at night we had no trouble sleeping. Breakfast was fine for what we needed, coffee boiled eggs fruit yoghurt and some sort of hot meals. The mum Sophia made my kids waffles for two days out of our stay. They also had egg Fritata and some sort of pizza. We loved our stay. It’s no 5 star resort but you know that before you arrive. At least we are supporting a hard working family rather than a 5 star chain. We will certainly be back and have no issue recommending this to all our family.Thankyou for welcoming us to your family and for a fantastic stay …
Just recently visited Vasiliki, with two friends, where we stayed at the Akroyiali. I am particular regarding holiday resort hotels and wasn’t sure about the Akroyiali having read a couple of negative comments. But as soon as we arrived, I was most impressed by the exterior of the hotel, the manicured garden and by the simple styled but extremely comfortable room which was sparkling clean and maintained as such, each day, by a maid. My bed and pillows were fine and most comfortable and this opinion was shared by my two friends, who were delighted by their rooms. The sea view from the three balconies of our rooms was a sheer delight! This extremely well maintained small resort hotel is all due to a most conscientious manager, Sofia, and her team/family members Dimitri and Labinie. They were helpful, kind and most considerate. We had breakfast a few times at the Akroyiali and had no complaint, great coffee (and hot!), scrumptious Greek yogurt with fresh fruit and honey, toast, eggs and an assortment of cold cuts, cereals and juice. The beach is fine with very clean sun beds and tables under large sturdy sun umbrellas, which we used regularly. And the town centre of Vasilki is a just a 5 minute walk from the Akroyiali and is a delightful old coastal town that the late author Ernest Hemingway visited for deep sea fishing many years ago. The restaurants are fantastic, especially the first one along the esplanade. One can book a day out on one of the several tourist boats that visit the nearby beaches and islands. But staying at the Akroyiali especially enhanced the entire week’s holiday.…
