    Nice Restaurant, not worthy to stay the night.
    Great spot with a view to the damn and nice restaurant. I would not recommend to stay overnight. This is not a four stars hotel like it says. Nice B&B level a bit posh, that's all. Do not have high expectations. Rooms are old, not clean enough, same for equipment (bathroom, doors...) or broken. Outdoor equipment was old and broken as well. There are cheap plastic curtains in the shower, with holes and lots of silicone and was never cleaned during our stay, same for the balcony. We came here to relax but kids (relatives/friends of the owner) and his dogs were so loud we could not enjoy it. Pool is old and dirty water, dog poop included. Breakfast is mediocre. Definitely overpriced and does not reach the Portuguese standards in Alentejo. As said, come for dinner (this is very good) take your nice picture for Instagram and then, go. (WiFi does not work properly either, so post it somewhere else!)…

    Great place for relaxing
    We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. We had a view of the dam and reservoir but with all the dry weather it was more of a big puddle! The place is quirky but the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. There are lots of little hidden places outdoors to enjoy the pool and the sunshine. Mine hosts were friendly and welcoming but left you alone. The food was meat heavy, could have done with a veggie option or two for me but partner could have stayed a week and not had same meat dish twice! We were sorry to leave as all the staff of young ladies were very pleasant. We had a good choice of breakfast spread too. We felt we were staying with good mates in their own home rather than a hotel which is a great achievement for Vasco and the staff.…

    Unforgettable experience! Quiet and peaceful spot! Nature, food, weather and a whole lot of good taste! You can find small hidden spots all around! Bring good books and is all you need! Excellent service! Modern rooms!

    Very charming hotel
    Hotel is in absolutely perfect and super relaxing place... Dinner was very good. Owner is very friendly... 4* are just because for such expensive hotel I expect a bit more professional service... view from hotel room was just perfect... if you want to have nice relaxing time, this hotel is just perfect choice... …

    No. The 6 dogs around are from the house and very quiet but the place is not pet friendly.

    Gostaria de mostrar o meu desagrado ao ir Almoçar a pousada vale do gaio. Fui com duas crianças de 2 anos e um bebê de 2 meses. O proprietário referiu que só havia mesa no exterior estavam 42 graus!! Posteriormente havia uma ementa muito adequada a temperatura que estava pois eram ceviches e saladas, mas... Era só para hóspedes!,.. Uma empregada esteve todo o tempo a impingir comida porque parecia que tínhamos que gastar muito. Assim não se pode servir o cliente tem que estar confortável pães recomendar. Não pode ser um engana turistas. Vou fazer queixa a deco.
