We were sceptical about staying in a resort during covide and we were pleasantly suprised at the Zaton. The mobile home was spotless! You could smell the whole unit has been sanitised. I could not find a spot that was missed or dirty. The resort is huge! There is so many restaurants that serve top class meals. We ate outside the resort once and all of us agreed the food was much better at the resort. We had halfboard included and again the food was really good. We were worried about corona in a dining hall but there was hand sanitizer at the entrance and you could wear your mask if you felt the need but we sat outside and we sanitized before and after eating and we were perfectly fine. Yes the dining hall was busy but it was kept clean all the time. the staff was working tirelessly! the beach was amazingly clear and safe ! the same for the pools, it was clean and tidy and just lovely for a break! and constant sunshine. excursions is just a short walk away on the jetty of the resort. there is little souvenier shops that has everything you could possibly want to buy! the one shop owner was so kind and inflated my lilo which i bought from home free of charge and refused to take money for it! People in croatia is so friendly and nice! I only have two negative point is the cost of doing a laundry load, which i found was very expensive! And the fact you have to pay for the umbrellas and sunloungers which would be lovely if you could have it included. Otherwise we loved our stay there and would definitely do it again for a week of relaxation!

We booked at the start of the year and decided to travel in July and stayed in the superior apartments. This park has everything you could want and is the best we’ve been to in Europe. Food and drink reasonably priced, excellent evening entertainment and really friendly helpful staff. The beach was not the finest sand but the sea was as clear as anywhere I’ve seen and it’s shallow for a long way out. Activities such as jet skis, pony riding and the inflatable course in the sea all of course cost extra but meant that there was no real reason to leave site for things to do. The bakery has so much choice and the restaurants and takeaways were good. Supermarket on site is a bit small but a couple of larger ones are really close by. All in all a fantastic holiday and we will definitely return.

The apartment complex is beautiful and very nicely decorated. The apartment itself (with three stars) is old and slightly cramped for a family, but if you have included half board, it is not used for anything other than sleeping (in good weather), and it also includes a spacious terrace. A plus of the apartments is the proximity to the beach and the central part of the resort. Due to the high ceilings, it is difficult to ventilate it, otherwise the air conditioner was directed directly to the part of the bed where the head is. There is not enough closet space for a family of four (the room had no closet at all). They take out the trash regularly and change the towels regularly, even if something runs out, they help without any problems. The catering restaurant is well stocked, the food is delicious, and a big plus is that drinks are always free. The only thing that bothered us was the overcrowding in the restaurant, sometimes it was hard to get a free table. The beaches are well-kept, clean, and there is very good provision for activities for children. On the beach, we were disturbed when other visitors (especially younger children) went wild on the paths with electric scooters, and even though it was forbidden, no one took any action. It was very dangerous for al!! The pool complex is beautiful, unfortunately sunbeds are not included in the price neither here nor on the beach. At the pools, there is no place for towels or for those who don't want a deckchair, the entire area is filled with deckchairs, and they don't allow you even to take sun protect umbrella to the pool. You have to pay for each deckchair and parasol separately. All of this should be included in the price. There are not many lifeguards on the beach, there are many more at the pools, but they are hunched together and all staring at the same area. Despite everything, the resort is very beautiful, you feel safe and relaxed in it, there are shops, bars, restaurants, various recreational activities nearby, you will never get bored. There is a high possibility that we will return again and we would recommend it for a visit.

Came to zaton for a day trip payed 30kn (4€) for the entry and were able to participate in many different free activities. Especially the archery lesson with Emir was a highlight nice trainer who gave many helpful advices. Beautiful beaches, nice Team, well-kept complex, different shops (hairdresser, spa including spa-fishes(awesome results)),horse riding, many playgrounds etc. Only the toilets could be a little bit cleaner But all in all can't complain Would come back Recommend

We stayed in a mobile home for 6pax. 2 adults and 4 children. We booked directly on the zaton website and the price was ok.
We arrived early in the morning and asked if it is possible to get the room earlier. The receptionist told us to come back at 1p.m. . We knew the number of the mobile home and drove there to take a look at it. The cleaning people were very kind an let us in after their cleaning at 10 a.m. After asking at the reception they still told us to wait. So we ignored them and took the mobile home earlier.
The bed was broken. After the repair we still broke through severall times and we did not get a new one. (my wife and me have together in sum 130kg).
On the first mornoing the gas bottle was empy. It seems that there is no check of the rooms before the guests check in.
The sand on the beach is one of the reason why we chose this resort. Unfortunately there are sharp pieces of seashells and stones in the sand. We all had cuts in our feet. There were even a pece of wood with sharp screws close to the beach volleyball court buried in the sand.
Since the time of the sty passed away very fast, we decided to stay two more nights. At the reception one of the women told us that we can extend with the same price that we booked. On the last day we had to pay a higher price for the additional nights than the regular nights.
The people who work in the complete resort like worker, cleaning etc. are very polite, nice, friendly and kind. But the people in the reception just do their job. They do not do their best to let you have a good time.
The supermarket in the resort is really expensive. They take advantage of the people who can´t drive out of the resort easily.
Over all we had a good time, but of course they just want our/your money. In detail they could do a lot of small things which could improve quality and satisfaction.

We have really enjoyed Zaton's 4 Star Superior Villas - a spacious, comfortable, and stylish accommodation:
+ A great advantage of this location is lavish greenery, blooming lavender and old pine trees all over the resort's territory + Sandy beach and easy access to the sea for families with kids (water lever is 1 meter on average for 500 meters into the sea) + New pool area with many pools and water attractions for kids
Things to improve:
- buffet area for breakfast and dinner is usually overcrowded and very noisy. All in all, it is too small for the amount of guests arriving in high season, so it is messy, a bit unorganised and dirty sometimes... The whole restaurant should be reconstructed and enlarged in order to provide a relaxed dining atmosphere for the guests. There is lack of free seats sometimes and the space between tables is too narrow. Another option would be to offer separate 3 and 4 star restaurants. Some lounge music inside the restaurant would be a plus to compensate the noise.

Zaton Holiday resort is a good place for family, especially with small kids. They have plenty options for entertainment there. Unfortunatelly, all of them are paid, so be prepared to have quite big budget for kids attractions (except pool which are not paid). The biggest advantage of resort is sandy beach and shallow water in sea - without that, it would be probably only average resort. Price of apt (especially during summer) is high (over 250 € per night). Apts (4*) are big enough for families. They are quite clean and equipped (kitchen also). Some apt equipment can be used or not working properly. In our case terase steel doors wasn't possible to lock. We noticed it to reception twice and even they promised prompt repair, nobody repaired it during our stay. Meal (during halfboard) was good and quite tasty. Do not expect delicious meals, as it's not Michelin's restaurant but they had to feed hundreds and thousands clients. But anyway, it was good. Beach is clean, disappointment is that if you want to use beach sun shelter or beach chair/bed, you have to pay for it (even at pools). Overal - resort is very suitable for family summer holidays. Many fun options, good beach and sea. But be ready that you'll pay for everything you think about.

The resort was huge, really nice, the beach was basically sandy, you really do not need any swimming shoes at all .
Our delux apartment was well equipped, modern. But the bed mattress in the living room was terrible, too soft, so my wife had headache almost every day.
There are several restaurants in the resort, but quite expensive. There was not any fast food possibility for the kids. A general dinner costs 400-500kuna (2 kids menu, 60-80kuna/kid + 2 adults without alcohol).
It is worth visiting the small, romantic city on an island, called Nin, 5-10min by car, where you can have dinner for lower price.
We had a lot of fun there. Anyway it would be great if the football pitch had some lights in the evening.

The attitude of the staff was very good, the accommodation small but clean and adequate. The environment is beautiful, ideal for families with children. The sea is really 2 minutes walk and the water park is fantastic. What is a bit more complicated is the distance of the parking lot from some apartments. Although the resort offers luggage transfer, it practically did not work much. Another disadvantage is the unreasonably high fees for a pet's stay. They are not listed on the website and you will find out on the spot about the fee of 14 euros per day. For what? Especially in the case of our little cat, it is an absolutely unacceptable price. The last thing we didn't like is definitely not the standard in other countries, the fee for a sun lounger and parasol in the hotel's water park. On the beach by the sea, I would still understand, but not here. So overall, I rate it positively, but some things are definitely worth thinking about.

I couldn’t tell you. From what I gathered it seemed free for people to use the beach. The only place day visitors couldn’t go was the pool area as you needed a band. But everything else seemed available.
There are more places to choose from in the Zaton area.
