Very nice place to go visit. Peaceful and quiet. The only thing that we didn't like was they way we were welcomed, we agreed on arrival time and yes we didn't make it on time because of the traffic and the guy was grumpy but either than that everything was perfect.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay at The Mount Edgecomb Golf Lodge in December 2016. What a fantastic experience. Andrew was kind and welcoming. The lodge itself is magnificent. Having recently been renovated and decorated, everything is modern and clean. The rooms were spacious, and the bathrooms were amazing! They have large baths and showers which I could have spent all day in!

The lodge is so well located. We enjoyed dinner at the Club House before having a very short walk back to the lodge, and enjoyed our breakfast the next morning overlooking 9th tee box. There were even some buck which wondered past us.

It really was a wonderful experience and I recommend staying at the Lodge to anyone considering it. Andrew is a fantastic host, and you will enjoy every moment you’re there.

Kimberley Clow.

I stayed 2 nights at Mount Edgecombe Estate Lodge. It has been recently reopened under new ownership (mid December 2016) Andrew is a wonderful host, if a little shy as he is new in the game. He will grow in confidence as he gets used to it. The décor is bright and airy as suits the wonderful green surroundings. The bedrooms and bathrooms have spared no expense in luxury. One feels very spoilt staying there.
I highly recommend it to anyone on holiday or business and for a group of golfers it is the perfect spot.

We stayed for 12 nights & the whole place has been refurbished & opened in Dec 2015. The room we had was spacious with a comfortable bed & brilliant bathroom with a great shower. The lounge area where you can relax is fabulous & Andrew the manager goes above & beyond to make your stay great. It's peaceful, secure, well located & very near the club house where the food was great & good value. When we come back next year we will stay here for sure.

The lodge is situated on the 9th hole. The views to hold course are aoectuons ro top it the bucks and ducks and other bird life is evident and beautiful. The lodge is modernly appointed. The new decorated rooms are sophisticated coloirful ans very comfortable. Andrew the owner is friendly and will go out of his way to make you comfortable. I loved the freedom to come and go at the lodge and actually I felt that I was at home.
We would highly recommend the lodge. It’s 5 min to Gateway Centre and another 4 minutes to Umhlanga. What more do you need. We loved our stay.

We had a fabulous & relaxing stay at Mt. Edgecombe Estate Lodge. Nothing was too much trouble for Andrew, the owner. He happily made bookings & recommendations for us for dinner and anything else that we required. He was very obliging when it came to catering for two vegans for breakfast.

We highly recommend this establishment, the rooms are gorgeously appointed, with modern decor, comfortable beds & fabulous bathrooms.

The lodge is situated on the 9th hole of the beautiful Mt Edgecombe golf course, which means it's a quick stroll to the clubhouse for dinners/lunch. The Lodge is also close enough to Umhlanga for dinners out on the town, but with none of the noise, hustle & bustle of Umhlanga.

To top off the experience there is an amazing bird population, monkeys & Impala which freely roam the Estate, which make the setting sublime.

Very spacious well appointed, somewhat dated, bedroom and bathroom, on the first floor with access to the verandah overlooking the golf course. On our first morning there we stepped out on to the verandah and there was a group of impala grazing on the 9th tee! Service was good and very friendly. Great breakfasts! Very convenient location for visiting family who live on Mt Edgecombe Estate and for accessing the golf club. Very handy to Umhlanga Rocks and La Lucia. Beautiful quiet location. Accommodation will be even better after the refurbishment taking place soon.
