Accommodation on an old Cape farm in a mountain valley above the village of McGregor. Fully equipped for self-catering.Meals by request. Dstv, billiards etc available in separate area. Swim, and canoe and valley river walks. McGregor and environs offers great restaurants and wineries and other attractions but there is plenty to do on the farm itself - including sitting back and admiring the view.

We stayed at Whipstock the night before we hiked the Boesmanskloof trail to Greyton. Clean and comfortable so a good nights rest. Cindy made us packed lunch for the trail and drove our party of 12 to the start at Die Galg. We left our cars for two days while we hiked.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Whipstock Guest Farm. We received such a wonderful warm and friendly welcome from our hosts Sindy and Kim who went out of their way to meet our requests and make our stay comfortable. The breakfasts that they served in the charming and newly renovated cafe were out of this world! The facilities were beautifully clean and the farm is so peaceful, it was amazing to feel so carefree and safe. We swam, fished and canoed in the farm dam, played table tennis, darts and billiards and thoroughly enjoyed the farm walks especially to the pristine little river. There was surprisingly so much to do in nearby McGregor and the wines and wine farms in the area were outstanding! We can't wait to go back to Whipstock Guest Farm with friends and family. …

It was the 60th birthday gathering of my husband that we decided to visit Whipstock in Mc Gregor. We were a group of 14 people. All were in agreement that the venue, the accommodation and friendly owners were the best experience ever!! Every thing was just perfect. We could not ask for anything more!! Clean spacious rooms, a nice venue to get together and such a lot of fun activities which we could not enjoy to the fullest as the stay was to short. It would be worthwhile to extend a weekend away to two nights to enjoy the quiet peaceful surroundings to the fullest. We had a full moon sunset at the small pond which were a lovely and memorable evening!!!

We had the most delightful stay at Whipstock Guest Farm in McGregor. Our hosts, Sindy and Kim ensured that our stay was memorable and comfortable. We loved our cottage Winterfield's quaintness and authenticity. Our breakfast and dinner served was delicious in the most beautiful surrounding. A peaceful and relaxing experience. We will definitely be back!

Lovely farm style living with a beautiful garden and a lovely area. Ideal to go for hikes and go cycling on the farm. Perfect to go and explore, there is a lovely dam to go canoeing on and have beautiful romantic picnics.
