I loved the view and the staff. I can’t wait to return. We have already booked our next trip. Matt and Colin were brilliant hosts and they deserve medals for staying awake with us so long and entertaining us. Thank you both for a brilliant weekend

For anyone who has travelled a bit in Asia and Europe to well deserved Very Good hotels I would not compare this to that on a global scale. But without out question the Lords Lodge is a Very Good bySouth African standards. As a 4 star hotel it offers very authentic and rustic accommodation. It's breathtaking surroundings would impress any hardened traveler, and the food was above average. The cottages are well stocked and well kept, although please be aware that you need to state the room needs making up or the cleaning staff will do the basic cleaning. Would I recommend visiting, yes. Would we return, certainly. When, as winter lovers we would love to return when the winter has really kicked in. I am not sure about summer, but I would not rate the pool area and facilities if you are looking to lounge by the pool for the holiday. I feel I very much that I want to give the establishment a just review, and on that note I feel it was a memorable visit. We had a great winter weekend break-away at Lord's Lodge and the warm hospitality of Colin and Matt was very welcoming. The service staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable - special thanks to Latifa and Marelize! The view from our room (and the Lodge) was lovely, the room was cozy and bed very comfortable and warm. The Scottish themes everywhere were special. We had dinner and breakfast at the Lodge both days - excellent, but very generous portions. Overall a geat special-occasion destination, we will be back!

I was expecting great things of this place when I booked on line......it did not disappoint! The location is awesome, surrounded by mountains and beautiful countryside wherever you look. We had one of the cottages for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dinner and breakfast excellent as was the service from Merrlise and Latifa. Thank you ladies for looking after us so well.
