Our family-run country inn is situated in the small country village of Mcgregor, in the heart of the Breede Valley wine region, yet we are a mere 2 hours drive from Cape Town, South Africa. Expect country-style hospitality and accommodation in our buildings which are historical monuments and date back to 1862. Have a sundowner on the Manor House veranda – a favourite spot for locals – and enjoy spectacular views of the village and Langeberg mountains in the distance before tucking into a hearty meal in the restaurant.

Peaceful location with the most amazing views, perfect venue for a wedding and reception. The owner and staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable.I highly recommend a stay here, we will come again. The restaurant Frida's is just an awesome way to end the day with drinks and tapas on the patio.

Sarel was waiting for us at the top of Mcgregor with a cooler box containing water, coke and beers!! - After just completing the Greyton walking trail and this man instantly became our Hero. We drove back into town and were given a drive around tour of town before heading back to Green Gables and shown to our beautiful room. We had the most amazing Tapas dinner on the stoep that evening with the food freshly prepared by the man himself Sarel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return especially to have another round of tapas. Sarel was the most amazing host, he dropped us back at the start point and even made us sandwich packs to take with us for our return walk back to Greyton.

Bliss! A Stunning place situated at the end of McGregor, beautiful presented food for breakfast and dinner. Good Wine selection and the best part by far, the host, Kindhearted Sarel and his dogs. 10/10 Will Go Back Again.

Sarel, the host/owner, was very friendly and most helpful and clearly tries hard.The impact of the COVID pandemic clearly created financial challenges, with the property generally requiring some attention, upgrading etc. The gardens and the pool did not look at all appealing. The room was acceptable and Sarel gave us a fee upgrade, which was most appreciated.
