Everything everyone else has said about this place is true - Jon is awesome, cleanliness fantastic, amenities superb (we had a roof terrace with fabulous views), pool was great on arrival back from a sweaty hike..... In addition, location is good - literally a few minutes walk up to the main street where the first thing you see is Jimmy's pub, with most of the other restaurants/shops/wine tasting a few doors away from each other. And Charlie is the friendliest dog coming to see us each morning and greeting us when we came back each day. We were due to stay 2 nights but stayed 3. Thoroughly recommend Jon's place, and the town itself is the friendliest we've visited during our 3 years so far in SA.

Highly recommend Jon’s place. It has the most gorgeous gardens, beautiful spacious rooms with everything you need and the location is perfect. The property has a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, with a little pool which is a great touch because of the hot weather. Jon is an amazing host, incredibly helpful, a really nice man. One of the best places I’ve stayed :) Already stayed there twice and will definitely be back!

Beautiful gardens, gracious host, spacious and perfect location. Just some of the reasons to stay at this beautiful homestead. The rooms are extra large with luxurious bathrooms and even an outdoor shower. Rooms are connected to a central courtyard with lush greens and fountain. The rooftop terraces provides for excellent Views and sunset opportunity. Jon was a great host and made sure that we had everything we need and then some! There is no doubt that this is the best place to stay in McGreggor

This place was absolutely stunning! John was the most incredible host, very friendly and helpful. The space was gorgeous, lovely big room and amenities were perfect. The outdoor shower was a dream and it was lovely and quiet at night so we got a great nights sleep, especially with the mosquito net around the bed. Would highly recommend, two thumbs up from me. Thank you Bean Tree for a fantastic stay!

Thank you so much to John for the most wonderful few days at your beautiful accommodation. Particularly loved the outdoor shower and the splash pool to lie by. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed - lovely touch having a coffee machine! Would definitely return when visiting family in McGregor again.

It was the perfect getaway to escape from all things stressful and truly relax South African style. The place is unbelievably stylish and there is no shortage of activities from hikes to wine farms. Our host was fantastic and the Bean Tree is a 10/10!

From our first enquiry to our check-out at the end of our trip, Jon made every effort to ensure that we were well-accommodated in every possible way. We booked all of the rooms except for The Barn and they were all very modern with great fittings and decor. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend The Bean Tree for anyone visiting the area.

We stayed in Ndale a truly Modern Suite done in the style of a Studio apartment. Close to all the restaurants, galleries & cafe’s in McGregor. Literally a 2 min walk! The pic below was taken from one of the two roof top balcony’s! The bathroom is stunning with both a large tub and a separate rain shower. All kitchen appliances was new and included a pod coffee maker! Thanx Jon for a 5 star stay in every sense!
