Stunning, secluded, stylish home away from home. Fabulous healthy 3 course breakfasts. Beautiful fynbos surrounds with the only visible lights at night very far away. Lovely town with shops nearby. Fabulous wine farms for tasting.
This was our second visit to the Haes Farm and most certainly not our last. Harry and Steyn are exceptional hosts ! Not only do they treat each guest to a delicious breakfast but they also give you the option to have dinner at the farm. Haute cuisine dining with a view is something one is not likely to forget. Harry and Steyn go to great lengths to help clients in every single way. Their knowledge of the neighbourhood is extensive and they love sharing their passion for this beautiful place on earth.
The location is magnificent - sweeping views, and the house is architect designed. For art and design lovers - a mecca. Steyn and Harry also take hosting to an art form - welcoming and attentive and their food is exceptional - some meals that I won't forget. Only regret is not booking in for dinner on all the nights. The available space is very generous with a large large and patio from which you can gaze at the view. Patio has a braai and can be enclosed if the weather takes a turn. The rooms are also lovely, equipped with a Nespresso machine and also stocked with rusks and fruit + a home crafted sweet/biscuit at turn-down.
We together with our friends, stayed at HaesFarm for a couple of days. (This farm is not suitable for families with young children). Each room has it's own seperate verandah to sit quietly and daydream, watch the birdlife, read your book. Very comfortable bed and lovely linen. Your own Nespresso coffee machine. What a delight our time on Haesfarm was. Wonderful views, excellent accommodation. An indoor lounge with many books to read. A beautiful verandah to sit and admire the view with an ice cold glass of wine, or a good cuppa. Harry and Steyn's food and hospitality were first class. An absolute treat to all of our senses. Haesfarm is a great place to chill. Lots of bird life and walks, wine farms and restaurants in and around Stanford to visit. Treat yourself!
My only suggestion is that the honesty bar has a more comprehensive selection of drinks such as wine, beer, whiskey etc. and various soft drinks. The hosts - Harry and Steyn were friendly and charming , while the breakfasts and the dinners were delicious.
